Do you like Chris Berman being the announcer for the All-star home Run Derby?

I think one of the vcash props on this game should be an over/under on how many times Berman does the "backbackbackbackbackbackbackback gone!" saying. O/U 14.5?

Its for like 75% of the HRs. So it would be closer to 50.

His act is pretty played by now. He has the life though, ESPN really doesnt have him do much anymore. Once football season ends, he disappears until the draft and then does the HR Derby, and that's his year.

I will still watch. I really don't mind the guy but I only watch ESPN programming occasionally so I am not tired of his routine.

They should have Marty from the Reds do it. He'd bitch and complain the entire time.

Haha. I thought he had cut it down a little bit, or it seemed like it a few years ago. Honestly 40 or 50 times wouldn't shock me.

His act was played out 10 minutes after it started. The fact he's one of the most successful sports broadcasters ever, despite his entire schtick being mildly entertaining nicknames and two catchphrases, speaks to how low the bar is set.

I don't mind Berman at all doing football, but he makes the HR derby borderline unwatchable.
