Brian Wilson talked often last year of how the team really rallied when GM Brian Sabian brought in a couple pieces around the all-star break. Something like this can happen with the Reds. They certainly need a jumpstart. A player who can do what Rolen did a couple years ago, bring an air of competition and professionalism to a club that looks worn out and listless.

Then hopefully Walt gets off of his hands soon.

Sheldon had some tweets for the bats in his latest blog. Sounds like either wood or dtrain may be pitching tonight for the reds

We've seen Wood already. I want to see what DTrain can do. Dontrelle was scheduled to start and all of a sudden isn't, so I'd imagine he'd be the one getting the call over Wood.

Amazing because we wouldn't be hearing any of this if the reds won tonight...one game makes all the difference to some fans

I've been frustrated for a while man, if they had won tonight would have made no difference. I just haven't gotten any enjoyment out of the club for the last couple months. It hasn't been based on one single game.

+1. This isn't a rough spot. The team has been middling other than the 5-0 start and 11-2 run at the beginning of May. As it stands, this team isn't going to win shit.
