Nope I believe it is this:

1. Ends the game, and his team wins
2. Not the winning pitcher
3. Pitches at least 1/3 of an inning
4. One of the following
----a. enters the game with a lead no more than 3, and pitches an inning
----b. enters the game with tying run either on deck, on base, or at bat
----c. pitxhes at least 3 innings

Perez was the b. in the scenerio. As the tying run was on deck. With 0 outs though, you HAVE to count all 3 batters that are scheduled to bat, since it cant be assumed a double play will occur. Thus, the 6 run lead thing.

Great game...but the traffic was hell !...I'm just getting home...sat for 45 min in an alley in gridlock. It is always nice to see Yankee fans go home unhappy.
