Last night there was nothing on so I watched for two f-n hours on ESPN classic a documentary called
"King of Kongs".

Basically about the controversay on whom owns the world record score on Donkey Kong, and the group of people who verify such records.

SO...who is a bigger loser....

1. Me, for watching it for two yours.
2. The actual video gamers who spend hours doing this.
3. The group that watches hours and hours of video tape to verify, or discount, world records on video games.

You. Donkey Kong is the shit. Unless you were like me and had to play the shitty Atari 2600 version when a little kid. Then, fuck DK!

For awhile I was wondering if thie was even real! You are right tho...by the end you are like....fuck you to the association.

That one guy who had the record, lived 10 minutes away, and wouldnt even show up for the even to prove it. L O S E R!

If I were the association, after I got psych help for being such a loser, i would reinstated that guys original score of over a million when he proved he could do it

It actually has a really really high score on Rotten Tomatoes which is why I watched it in the first place, and proving you're not the only loser to watch it: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/king_of_kong/

I found it hilarious that Billy Mitchell is really that way.....at first I thought it was an act. How about his cronies always with him and backing him up. I'm a huge fan of documentaries and really enjoyed this one.

It was interesteing, hence the 2 hours I spent watching it.

It was kinda funny....he had his own cult of people who would back him like that.

Even at the end though it started to sound like even those cronies were starting to question him

Funny, you have beef with ESPN about showing a good documentary, while I couldn't wait to watch it when I saw that Netflix had it as an online streaming video. I thought it was one of the best docs I've seen.

OH, it was a good documentary.

But the question at hand was who was the bigger loser.....me, those who play video games for hours and hours and hours trying to get a world record, or those who watch hours and hours of tape tryin to verify said records!@

They're a world champion, so I don't see how you could qualify them as "losers".

Billy Mitchell probably blows more coke, bangs more broads, and has more commas involved in his bank account than you do.

people are all for worshiping those who are good at relatively useless things (getting paid millions to throw a ball really fast while someone else tries to hit it). why not enjoy yourself some competitive video gaming.
