IMO Phelps is the one that would be traded. Kipnis is the 2nd baseman of the future.

True, Kipnis is definitely the better prospect, but depending on who the Tribe is trying to get they may demand Kipnis over Phelps

I don't know what sarcasm is.

But seriously, wouldn't it be nice if they would just hold on to some of these guys? This team DEFINITELY is heading in the right direction IMO. They just need to put it all together.

It was refreshing to hear them say the Tribe was actually looking to bring in a player this year through trade.

Ok. I assume if we trade, it will be one of them. Kinda sucks we have two 2nd baseman who are ML ready or very close, especially with the logjam at DH with Hafner and Santana taking the role each game.

Sipps #'s are good, but am I the only one who gets nervous with a lead when he's out there?

Yes, but at SOME point Kipnis or Phelps will likely need traded. Both play 2nd, and are both ML ready. Need to get something for them. A little late to change positions with them. It is just nice to be trading them for players to HELP us NOW and not trading ML players to help later.

To win, ultimately, I think you need the right amount of home grown talent that pans out and that is your own coupled with a FA signing or 2 and a trade (typically a smaller one, because if you make a blockbuster you arent as close as other teams are to winning). I dont think we are there yet, but if we make the right FA signings this offseason, we could be that 1 trade away at this time next year.

I used too. But that was more cause NCF was all over his jock, and I just never wanted that guy to be right lol. But Sipp has been a boss. Probably a top 5 reliever in the majors...but I dont really know relief numbers. But he has what, a sub 2 ERA and a .83 WHIP or something insane?

I love the back end of our pen for the future. Need to lock up Sipp, Pestano and Perez longterm.

Thankfully the Tigers have the Mets, Giants, and Angels coming up.

Hopefully the Tribe can just keep pace during this upcoming stretch.

...and the other Perez. I also like Joe Smith, always have. Glad he is showing what he can do this year after the injury hurt him recently. He gives a completely different look out of the pen which is very useful.

Why isn't Wily Mo playing linebacker in the NFL? He is a mountian of a man.

We need Pestano to do his patented 3 Ks in a row here.

Seriously though, Kelley fucking Johnson.

The difference is though, Arizona is fouling off pitches, we just strike out.

Yep. As I said on last thread. This team has the averages like the Tribe (ie, not very good), but when they hit it, its doubles, triples, and HRs.
