I forgot about Edison and I can't believe that series is over. I'm going to have to check and get a 100% confirmation on the schedule that was posted on this thread.

Edison probably had too many wins to be on your schedule.

Wait, they play Toronto so i'll give them 1 win.

Has Toronto named a new head coach yet ? The right person could make a huge difference in their program.

Big mouth.......still waiting if you want to make a wager on CCHS only winning one game next year. Funny that you would avoid that.

^^^^^Thanks. I guess that schedule is 100% correct, interesting that we only have 5 home games. I also like the makeup of the schedule but we still ned more D5 and D6 teams on there.

I just saw something on the internet that puzzled me and I thought maybe one of you Central people could explain it to me since it apparently involves FUS. Have you ever heard of Steubenville South or Steubenville San Diego? Steubenville South appears to be in Louisiana. I get the impression they are some sort of Catholic retreats.

Has anyone heard of them?

My understanding is that the University "hosts" conferences around the country like they do when they bring people here during the summer. So wherever they go it's "Steubenville ______" as the title of the conference because as unbelievable as it is, our town has a very high regard and respect factor in catholic circles nationally and internationally so when someone says Steubenville, to us they probably mean football or corruption but someone overseas or across the country thinks FUS.

Can't believe CCHS will only have one elementary now:
http://www.wtov9.com/news/22812209/detail.html
i think even St. Johns has three and Madonna has at least two elementary schools. I'm not a Catholic school guy but it's still really disheartening to see schools close and people lose jobs.

My wife works for the Elem school and they just didn't have the #s to support 2 buildings. When they started the plan it would all eventually get folded into holy rosary because thats where the cathedral would be built (ha!) and it'd be a little CCHS compound area. The projected # of kids they thought they'd have aren't there and its really unlikely that we're suddenly going to have 100+ new kids show up next year. When you're looking at being $120k in the red or anything in the black its a pretty easy choice to make.

Still wondering why the Jr high was paying rent to CCHS though. That was 35k right off the top.

Makes sense but I still don't understand how Bellaire St. Johns and Madonna who have smaller enrollments than CCHS are capable of keeping open multiple elementary schools. I don't know anything about your jr high so I can't comment.

^^^^^Obviously, those schools don't have a problem with funds and/or donations from huge benefactors. IMO, our problem stems directly from the Bishop and his unwillingness to raise funds for the parochial school system (St. Johns included), he's too worried about building a cathedral that we don't need........but that's another story for another forum.

Easy Easy Catholic fans. The Wood has alot of respect for the program you have built over the years which is why they scheduled them. Simply stated that was disappointed with the amount of wins they received from them, if its not any better this year do not expect to see the game renewed.

No offense taken. We thought we were going to have a pretty good football team last year. I still believe the turning point of our season was the opening drive of the second half against Ridgewood.........four cracks to take the lead and come away with nothing. The kids were totally deflated after that and it carried over the rest of the year, especially after losing a heartbreaker in week one at Columbiana.

Lots of respect to Ridgewood, good program and some hard nosed kids!

Unfortunately, I'm hearing the same thing. Although, we all thought we had a playoff caliber team last year and look what happened. I'll reserve judgement after week one.
