I needed to start this thread, get some new blood in these thread starts. Hopefully it kickstarts the offense.

All you Cinci people need to go to the game and 'Brian Stow' the shit out of some of those Yankee fans.....(too soon?)

I was down there last night and absolutely could not believe how many Yankee fans there were. The Yanks got a hit in the first and I heard clapping and just assumed it was an out, and there was whoever on first taking off his gloves. It was disgusting. I've never known a Yankees fan but my hatred of them just grew as the night went on. I was probably saying some comments about bandwagoning a little too loud but that's alright, haha.

Don't be a hypocrite now, TT....I mean, you are an Ohio State fan.

Indiana Univ. takes pictures of their home games with Ohio State and uses it in their football programs and puts the pics up on their websites, facility walls, etc. because of so many OSU fans who go to their games..wearing almost the same color as IU red.

I went to buy stuff from the gift shop last night and they were selling Yankees stuff. I thought that was bullshit.

Sunday night, I was randomly flipping through stuff and landed on the Yankees-Cubs game on ESPN for a bit. I remember the announcers saying the Cubs fans were getting upset because there was a very noticeable "let's go Yankees" cheer going on. That's the Cubs, whose fans infest other team's stadiums and have taken over before. If their home park isn't safe from an even lower form of cockroach like Yankee fans, no park is.

Hey....shit happens. It is all up to who buys the tickets. Dont get mad at NYY fans, get mad at Reds fans for not getting the tickets.

NYY fans have alot of fans nationwide.......and when they go to new cities it opens up that face base to go. Kinda like the steelers.....many of them dont come from Pittsburgh on the roady.....but live near cincy and go to the bengal games when they play there or in other cities.

No hypocrisy here. Grew up in Ohio, lived in Ohio all of my life, went to Ohio State. That's different from growing up in Cincy and becoming a Yankees fan. Now if the 15-20,000 Yankees fans there last night drove down from New York or moved to Cincy from New York then kudos to them. It's not at all the same as Ohio State fans taking over Indiana's football games(or Northwestern, MSU, wherever). There are plenty of bandwagon Ohio State fans though, I will never deny that, they just pretty much all grow up in Ohio.

I don't want to turn this into a "rules of being a fan" thread or anything, that's just how I feel. Go Reds.

I totally agree about Reds fans with buying the tickets. Could not believe there weren't more there, or I just completely underestimated how many Yankees fans there are. Still there should have been more Reds fans there though.

Had the game recorded cause we weren't home when it started and I hadn't deleted it yet.

Andruw Jones from home to 1st in the 3rd inning......7.2 (last 4 steps really killed his time..lol)

He once stole 50 in the minors and over 30 in the MLB......but he's more of a roll than a role model when it comes to hustling when you are going to be out 99% of the time.

He's never been thrown out by a LF while running from home to first!

It's not like reds fans get first priority on ticket sales. When tickets go on sale and Yankees fans in ohio see they are playing in Cincinnati, they have the same chance to buy the tickets.

Last night Stubbs did his Jonny Gomes impression by swinging at pitches a couple of feet out of the strike zone. My goodness he looked horrid in two of his AB's.

What type of player do you all think Votto will be?

I think last year he blew his wad and we wont see him approach those numbers again. I be for the majority of his career he will be closer to 20 HR and 90-100 RBI than he will be to 37 and whatever RBI he had last year.

Reds better win. I'm sick of the Red Sox tearing up the world only to have the Yankees do the exact same. We need some distance :)

Votto can still look awful....but then buckle down and hit a liner to LF.

I'm not sure of his power numbers but he's a .330 hitter for sure....many walks

We'll have to wait and see......I just hope he doesn't kill anyone

Win or blow this team up.

I'm sick of the excuses for players. Renteria SUCKS. He has absolutely NO business being on the field right now. "Oh he'll come around." Cool, he isn't right now and he doesn't deserve playing time. Just like when Dusty finally sat Gomes down, he needs to do the same with Edgar. But it needs to be for a LONG time. Send him down to AAA and let him get his swing back.

There is no reason whatsoever that this team should be 2.5 games back and to be honest they are lucky to be that close.

Slight difference being Gomes played everyday batting 5th and struck out more than anything else...Renteria is just spot platoon sucking.

Plate approaches (forever) are the biggest problem with the offense.
