Yeah the last 8 years or so haven't been great for him in my eyes. Pirates series, Public Enemies, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico are about the only flicks he has made since that have entertained me. He was once one of my favorite actors but I have moved him down the list. I'm a huge DiCaprio guy.

I watched Oldboy because I heard it was "the best movie that you've never seen" [and because the selections for streaming on Netflix really aren't that good, unless you're looking for TV shows], and I must say it was pretty dumb. i would NOT suggest wasting your time and watching this movie. It was a Korean film, so to begin with, you have to have pretty low expectations. The voice overs were quite hilarious, actually. The whole plot was just strange. I only kept watching the film to find out why the guy was imprisoned for 15 yrs. I wish I hadn't. It was a pretty dumb reason.

Just thought I would try to spare everyone else the wasted hour and 30 minutes.

Twin Peaks is one of those shows you watch and discuss -- and discuss, and discuss -- and still aren't sure what you actually saw.

Good stuff. :)

Just watched "Into the Wild". Dude graduates from Emory with high marks, gives away his money and hikes around in Alaska. Not something I'd recommend.

I will have to disagree. I did not like the premise. I understand it is a bio, I do not applaud his major choice.

Watched three solid movies while we were cooped inside during the hurricane:

*Waltz with Bashir - amazingly done, animated (but almost Sin City like, not quite though) about the 1982 Lebanon War
*Before the Devil Knows You are Dead - sick cast (Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, and a multiple-topless Marisa Tomei haha)
*Insidious - Very fun and creepy "horror" movie, check it out

Watched it on HBO the other day. It wasn't that good, kind of boring.

I did --- pretty good for a rent --- not quite as amazing as all of the buzz that surrounded it IMO, but worth a watch for sure. Franco did an awesome job.

Machete could have been real entertaining if not for the political message that it was pushing.

What was the political message? No, I don't care to look it up.
