I just watched Scooby Doo The Mystery Begins and they mention they're in Ohio. It made me think how many songs/movies mention our great state! Think we can list them?

Euro Trip started at Hudson High School, but the only Hudson High School I know is Blue and Silver. This school was scarlet and gold (Like USC). They were from Ohio though...said it several times in the movie. Scott the main character ends up going to Otterbein for med school.

Accepted is also filmed in Ohio...or it's staged in Ohio.

Those are the only two i can think of the top of my head.

Hang on Sloopy is about some small time singer or actress from Steubenville; probalby why we in Ohio love it so much.

Actually it's called "My City Was Gone" and is used as bumper music at the beginning and ending of the Rush Limbaugh program...just thought I'd mention it.

While "A Christmas Story" is supposedly based in Indiana, Cleveland figured prominently throughout the flick.

Although it's not set in Ohio, I'd be amiss to not mention M*A*S*H and Klinger's love for Toledo! I couldn't stand this show when I was younger and now the boyfriend and I DVR several episodes a week to watch.

Funny People:

Adam Sandler mentions trying to get the Cavs game on tv, and is also doing one of his stand up routines with a Cavs warm up on.

I've watched quite a few newer releases over this summer that have referenced something in Ohio..

I know on Modern Family, they were getting ready for the "big game" which was between Ohio State and Illinois... (They live in Illinois).

A Christmas Story - The Cleveland house.

Obviously Major League I & II

Parts of "The Deerhunter", and "All the Marbles" were filmed in Youngstown.

"Harper Valley PTA" (Barbara Eden) was filmed in (I think) Lebanon, Oh.

At the end of Mrs. Doubtfire, Mrs. Doubtfire reads a letter from someone in Youngstown on her TV show (director Chris Columbus is from that area).

The Shawshank Redemption showed the Mansfield Penitentiary...

In the Disney Channel Movie "Luck of the Irish" the evil leprechaun is cast to the land of the kid's ancestors, who's family is from Cleveland. The last scene is him falling from the sky into Lake Erie.
