odds Cano's at-bat doesn't end with an RBI after being down 0-2?

true, i think the only way we score is if they intentionally walk 4 guys in a row. Although, if Grady is up....he loves those outside pitches.

Great job Carlos! Watching him pitch, I'm beginning to believe he may have the best stuff and wide variety of pitches of anyone on our staff.

That probably doesn't bode so well for our playoff chances

He has shown that, but his issue is getting past the 5th inning. If he cant figure that out, he is fucked as a MLB pitcher (I know he was great in his last start).

If the rest of the staff had his stuff, we'd be much better.

He has improved so much from the beginning of the season.

After that at bat, Phelps will see nothing but breaking pitches all night.

Manning just made a great point on Choo. He is swinging at a lot of pitches because he wants the BA to go up. He isnt taking his walks and thus isnt breaking out of his slump.

Does anyone at AAA know how to throw a breaking ball. I think the answer is no, resulting in Phelps hitting .300 lol

Wha? He's been up and down all season. Outside of his last time out, his 2nd and 3rd starts of the season were probably his best 2 outings.

His stuff has always been there. His command is heads and tails better than it was earlier in the season. I guess I didn't say it the way I wanted to in my original post.

Ballsy call by Manny putting the hit and run on with Phelps who hadn't touched a pitch in his 1st 2 at bats.

With the offense continuing to scuffle I think they have got to bring up Chisenhall and if Phelps continues to perform like this give Kipnis his shot at 2B.
