I would honestly take that lineup to the managers meeting. See what Girardi and the umpire did.

As for Acta, Im thinking we see some guys from Columbus up there. That or a crazy lineup like Choo leading off, Santana at 2, Hannahan at 3, Orlando batting clean-up etc lol.

I think Brantley and Druby could be moved down because they've been our best hitters, so why not move them down in hope that some people in front of them could get on base.

Where's Andy Marte when you need him? Oh yeah, he pitches for the Tribe right now under the name "Fausto."

Let's hope he means putting Grady back in the leadoff role where he is comfortable. This should end the the "Grady needs to hit in an RBI position" arguement.

Exactly! Let's face it, Grady does much better leading off than he does in ANY type of RBI role, it's just not who he is. Brantley has done a good job with RISP so I'd move him down to 5 or 6. Santana needs moved down to 7th.

To be replaced by the 'Grady doesn't belong starting in major league baseball' argument?

^^^^^Ugh....I don't want to consider that yet. I'd prefer to look at it like Grady should have had a rehab assignment coming off his injury and not inserted into a different role.

My thoughts exactly....My lineup for tomorrow:
Sizemore DH
Druby SS
Choo RF
Buck LF
Brantley CF
Santana 1B
Marson C
Hannahan or Everett 3B
Phelps 2B

You could switch the guys in the 7 or 8 hole.

until hafner comes back, we don't truly have a clean-up hitter (or really any hitter for that matter). maybe try and maximize santana's second-best obp and bat him second?

crazy lineup suggestion:
sizemore
santana
brantley
cabrera
choo
pick names out of a hat for 6-9

Isn't Pronk almost ready?

Cabrera has to be in the top 3, can't have your best hitter not getting up in the first inning sometimes.

Hell, it might be better. At least if he is 4, and he is batting, its a possible RBI chance. If he doesnt get up, he leads off. Its better than him batting with 2 outs and none on lol.

GO YANKEES:)
Since this is a Yankees series thread with moaning Indians fans who think they are the only ones allowed to speak as a Yankees fan I've put up with your hate for all things non-indians and just enjoy putting it back at you!

What?

BRF is going out on a limb and predicting an appearance by the Glittering Wahoo tonight. It's just too good of a day for it not to happen.

Actually, I can answer that very question!!! Andy Marte became one of the many former prospects on hard times to be picked up by Pittsburgh, as he did so during the offseason. After spending spring training as a non-roster invite, he then joined their AAA club in Indianapolis where he currently is batting about .220. So, yeah, there you go. The life and times of Andy Marte.

Well, if Carassco can limit this to one run....we should only lose by one. #babysteps
