yeah, I thought he was going to be their weak spot, but he was consistently good throughout the playoffs. But they have Joel Anthony so they really dont need another big man. #MVP

From everything I heard it sounds like Bosh had a pretty solid series. Listening to the guys on Mike & Mike, if anything, sounds like they didn't get him the ball enough.

Anthony didn't play much last night. Miami's rotations were a little odd in the Finals. House went from not playing to playing 21 minutes and then Bibby got a DNP last night. Spoelstra was all over the place

Yeah, the Eddie House thing was a disaster last night...Bibby should have got a shot since it was obvious that House was just hurting them.

As if you guys needed another re-dux of the series, here are Bill Simmons thoughts in the form of a retro diary. Some good stuff in there. BR1986, dude I know we disagreed in the past about Lebron being scared to drive because he doesn't want to shoot free throws, but I think you may have convinced me. Simmons kind of agrees...
Remember, LeBron and Wade were never good long-range shooters, only they cruised to the Finals partly because LeBron was nailing some exceptionally tough 3s. Wade made 29 percent for his career, 28 percent in the first three rounds, and 26 percent in the Finals; he never got going. LeBron made 32.9 percent for his career, but in Miami's eight Boston/Chicago victories plus Game 1 of the Finals, he made an improbable 20 of 39 3s. It couldn't last. He missed 18 of his 23 in the last five Finals games.

Digging deeper: LeBron averaged 3.5 3s and 8.4 FT attempts during the regular season. In Rounds 2 and 3, he averaged 4.1 3s and 8.6 FT attempts. In the Finals, that flipped: 4.7 3s, 3.3 FT attempts. He stopped getting to the rim. You could say Dallas figured out how to defend him (to a degree, true), that the zone screwed him up (I guess), that Shawn Marion got into his head (possible), but really, he was afraid to attack the rim for whatever reason. Which, by the way, is his single greatest skill.

If he hones in his FT shooting there's no reason he shouldn't be able to attack the rim at will.

Im not saying he is a horrible person...like a thief, rapist, etc. But my point is, there are a TON of guys in the NBA who are ever better human than him. Doesnt make him bad, just not as good as them. On the flip side, there are plenty who are worse, and I dont happen to like them either.

I just dont really see the argument of cheering for him because he is a good person. Or even as a secondary reason (after his play).

How do we know they aren't worse human beings, they aren't under a microscope 24/7 like LBJ is, and they don't blow everything out of proportion like they do with him, it's sickening. Dallas wins a hard fought series and all they talk about is Lebron on espn.

Fair enough. He still makes absolutely terrible decisions off the court with his image.

It was all the zone, those stats prove it, they didn't have an answer for it when shots weren't falling.

no. Multiple twitter posts, the decision, muttering "retarded" and then last nights gem were are terrible. He could easily have avoided that.

Im sure Im missing some others from the year, but those off the top of my head were very dumb.

I said questionable at BEST lol, I liked the retarded comment, it was a stupid question and he should have said it louder. The media thinks they can get away with whatever they want and I wish these athletes who are actually COMPETING would put their asses in place from time to time. Easy to sit back and scrutinize when they only have to sit back and observe and not be in the fox hole.

Um, no.

Like it or not, Bron is a role model and the word retarded should NEVER be used.

But most of his problems come directly from things that he says or does. How is it the media's fault that he makes stupid quotes, tweets stupid things, and does things like the decision and quitting in games? The scary thing is that his decision making seems to get worse as he gets older. It is not uncommon for a rookie or younger player to make mistakes, but LeBron is an 8-year vet. He had better decision making skills as an 18 and 19 year kid than he does as a 26 year old man. He is young enough to turn it around, but it seems to be going in the wrong direction.

It isn't the media's fault for what he says. It is their fault for blowing the shit up like they do. I'm watching college baseball on ESPNU, and what is scrolling on the bottom line under the head line "Finals Reaction"? LeBron's quote. LeBron and the Heat lost, and they are getting 90% of the media coverage. Same thing with the coughing thing. That happened before game 5, yet last night they cut away from the game for a report from Doris Burke on it.

You are 100% naive if you think a "zone" defense kept LeBron from attacking the rim. LBJ can get to the rim ANYTIME he wants to. No zone defense can keep him from that.

The best way to beat a zone is by attacking it. The Heat didn't do that.

It made the whole damn team passive and confused, anyone who watched the games saw that.

It was a stupid ass question from the reporter, I wouldn't be so kindly to them taken shots at me if I were him or an NBA player, those idiots probably never played a day in their life, arm chair qb's like 90% of the OC. But you have a point in the fact that he's a role model and is held to a higher standard.
