Sounds like free agency may last less than a week. That plus 400+ free agents = total frenzy

Logan Mankins and Vincent Jackson could be holding up the end of the lockout...

Patriots guard Logan Mankins and San Diego Chargers receiver Vincent Jackson are asking to be made unrestricted free agents or be given $10 million to settle as lead plaintiffs of the Brady v. NFL case, an NFL source confirmed. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports first reported the development.
Both players are in their seventh year and had the franchise tag placed on them by their teams. We discussed the potential for a demand like this in today's paper.
This has the potential to hold up the ending of the lockout. The NFL can't resume business until it settles the antitrust lawsuit -- with all plaintiffs.

Was listening to that on Mike & Mike. I know they are all supposed to be "in this together" but you're gonna have a shit ton of NFL players pissed if this season gets held up due to two players.

Those 2 are going to talk their way right out of the league. I mean I know Jackson is good and Mankins is apparently good but I remember them both holding out last season and I would guess teams are going to get tired of it.

Nice ! I can't wait to see this clusterfuck that will be called "free agency." I'd hate to be a GM when this ends....sign your rookies, sign your OWN free agents, go after others free agents all in about 4-5 days....

Just saw that one of their higher-up's is "adamantly denying" that report.
Who really knows though.

Unless "Dumb & Dumber" (Mankins & V-Jax) hold this up, the deal should be done on Thursday 7/21.

Yeah, if the original report were actually true I imagine the higher ups would still be denying it (because technically it's not allowed). But you're right, who knows.

Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe voiced his displeasure Tuesday afternoon on Twitter.
"Sigh, and once again greed is the operative byword. 'Congrats Brees, Manning, Mankins, and Jackson for being 'that guy'. #d-----bags," he wrote.
Hahaha I laughed pretty good at that one. I doubt anyone is gonna give a shit about it tho.

Apparently the players are voting on the new CBA some time today. If the vote passes, NFL owners would likely vote tomorrow. C'mon end it!!!
