The rumors swirling today are crazy. You'd think it was the trade deadline or something.
Renteria maybe leaving the team
What happens with open 40 man spot
Wlw reported reds were talking to Toronto about Bautista.
It's crazy today.

God damn Bautista would be AMAZING in our lineup lol

We need a 4 spot hitter and he's the best in the business (I know he plays in the 3 hole, but that's because Toronto doesn't have a Votto...he should be in the 4 spot)

But........he aint comin to Cinci

The good thing about Bautista, is the fact that his contract is not that bad. I don't expect him to be in Cincy, but the Reds do have the prospects to trade.

Yea the open 40 man spot. Some of the beat writers made it sound like the expect a trade. While others think Willis.

My bad...thought he was talking about Renteria's spot when there has been no word yet.

Will be interesting....assume there is a trade in the works.

The renteria thing seems odd, one writer said he may have left for family reasons. IF he even left the team.

Volquez needs it. As does smith, but EV is a guy that needs to be good for this team.

I think he can be ok. He has electric stuff but just needs to work out some things.

I have no doubt that he will come back up in a few weeks and be extremely good.

I'm afraid Volquez is a headcase, and he's head will never match his stuff.

So Lewis is in to combat against Hamels change up? SO it's kinda ass backwards of Dusty to drop Bruce down to 6th....raise Rolen up and bat Janish 2nd

Dusty does whatever he wants....retarded or not and gets away with it no matter how stupid it is....and the list is growing.

Lewis is 3-6 against him. They also said the scouts say throw lefties at hamels because of the change up he throws that goes down and in to them. In their wheelhouse

I just cant fathom why you bat your hottest hitter (and probably 3rd best overall) 6th, especially when you are drastically looking for a 2 (or 4 if Phillips is moved) hole hitter and 5 is still better than 6th.

Right, but that logic doesnt match up with moving Bruce down in the order and not up or the same. Lewis in is fine, but why move Bruce down?

No idea. Dusty doesn't like familiarity apparently.

not getting it midstate....I understand the using of lefties to negate the nasty changeup of Hamels......but if lefties are better off then why drop Bruce to 6th? Why bat Janish 2nd?

If lefties are used to combat Hamels...bat Lewis 2nd (if Dusty is too god damn stubborn and forgetful to bat Phillips 2nd) and Bruce 5th? If lefties are better you don't move them down....if you do it means you really don't believe in what you are doing.

I'm not trying to convince you. Just relaying what the writers were saying.

lol...I know midstate01......I'm just saying Dusty's reason for playing Lewis is fine but it is counteracted by moving Bruce down in the order and batting Janish 2nd.

My problem is with Dinglebaker....not you at all. Enjoy the game.

It's been a while since "Dinglebaker" came out in force. The whole winning the division thing last year really blunted all the "COREY PATTERSON AGAIN WTF?!?!?!" fun from before.

Willy Taveras

Ryan Freel leading off verus righties

Juan Castro PH with Josh Hamilton available in the 9th....that was probably Petey or Eeyore...but I could see Dusty doing the same
Royce Clayton batting 2nd

mabye I'm confusing all of the craphead managerial moves and giving Dusty some of the prior morons......if so....sorry Dusty!
