Hate to break it to ya Trap, but Stone Old Guardian Barley Wine Style Ale would even go good with a Swisher Sweet. :)

Well I've been thinking about this since the thread was created and my first thought was to pick Coors Light since its never let me down. But the more I've thought about it and the older I've gotten I've noticed I drink more of the so called "snobby beers" and I have no problems pounding them either(although I regulary don't) in the end after careful consideration I've choosen Samuel Adams Double Bock I love this beer and wish I could find it more often but any time I see a 4 pack I buy at least 3 of them.

DFH 120 Minute was right up there, at close to 20% = Constant Drunk. So may beers went through my head. Chocolate Stout would be Southern Tier Choklat. Coffee Stout, I'm thinking Alesmith with Bell's Expedition a close second. IPA..Too Damn Many. Imperial IPA Hopslam, though Hop Dam was not far behind.

To settle it for me it would be a Belgium beer that I've had only once and then only a little more than a swallow. One that I'll probably never taste again. Westvleteren 12. When I smelled this beer it was so complex and beautiful I wanted a car air freshener with this scent. I couldn't get enough of the felling on the nose. I'm going to go the rest of my life trying to buy a bottle of it, which unless you 'know' someone that can get their hands on it, will never happen.

Curly J... I now hate you. Just looked up that beer and it sounds amazing. It will now be one of my life goals to try that beer.

40 bones a bottle? Yikes, I would not even spend that much on hard liquor or a fine wine.

That's the cost to buy online, people inflate the shit out of it because the only place you can really buy it is at the monastery in Belgium (which you can only buy a limited amount of whatever they have on hand after you call in and reserve a place to pick up beer on days they are selling it). But, compared to most craft beers, it's actually pretty cheap for being considered the best beer in the world, I think I read about $33 a case. Having said that, I might drop close to that for a bottle of Westy since I want to try it one day. I've spent $30 an a bottle before and it was great, but not the best beer in the world.

That doesn't seem very far-fetched for top-shelf liquor or wine at all.

To add one to what Boris wrote. ( I was gonna say Boris said...pun intended) Westvleteren will only produce a certain amount of beer. They will produce enough beer for the money needed to run the monastery, then stop since they are not doing it for profit.

And I to would pay $40.00 for it as that is cheap for arguably the best beer in the world. (Want to see expensive, look at some of the best Wine prices)

One beer for the rest of your life and you choose a light beer?

I'd have to pick something that goes pretty well all the time no matter what mood I'm in. Probably have to go with Heineken or a candian lager like Moosehead.

Here in New York, I would say 30-40% of the bars have it, but certainly not all of them. And they all give you the glass you see in the pic, beer has some major head (cue "that's what she said" comments).

The Giant Eagle around me has it. Even sells a pack that has the glasses with it.

Thats a bummer. I live very close to a few places that sell all kinds of different beers, its great. Sometimes I 'll just buy something that I've never heard of just to try it and check out something new. The downside of that is that 6ers of beers I've never heard of/tried are usually $10 plus.

For those living in Toledo, check out The Andersons. You can pick up singles of a vast amount of beers for a usually $1.25 to $4.00 a piece.
Great way to try new stuff. I think that Jungles Jims in the Cincy area is the same.
