Yeah, what is the strategy there? OHHHHHHHHHHHHH, nevermind, I see. You want to bring in a competent hitter to score runs because pitchers are pitchers, not hitters. It's the same strategy has having a DH in, scoring. Deciding when to take the pitcher out isn't strategy, it's common sense.

The AL game is better. There's no doubt about it.

Actually, there IS doubt about it. BRF likes to see the pitchers bat, like the old days....the way the game is supposed to be played.

Have you noticed the poll question I posted? At this point there are 8 NO votes on the DH. 0 Yes votes. You better come do your little speech over there.

Hafner hasn't played in the field the last couple of years because of injuries. I haven't heard what they plan on doing this year.

Little Danny;775085 wrote:ESPN is a major reason why people believe the AL is better than the NL. Ever watch Sportscenter or listen to ESPN radio and see how extensively they cover the Yankees or Red Sox games. They basically cover every inning blow by blow. With everyone else they primarily show some of the highlights, and in some cases only one or two highlights. I was listening to Mike & Mike this morning and noted Greenie coverered the Yankees game extensively (ditto for the Red Sox). Every other game he just read off the winners of the games. In other words, you had no idea who played whom.

No, that just means ESPN thinks Red Sox and Yankees are > than baseball as a whole.

Usually yes, but Hafner hasnt really played much in NL parks in recent years (when healthy).

The 3 point line didn't exist when basketball was created.

Football offenses used to line up in the wishbone or ND Box all game long.

Overhand/sidearm pitching wasn't allowed when baseball was created. It shouldn't exist now.

Is there another sport where half of the league plays by a separate set of rules?

To counter that, every other sport has "interconference" play regularly.

Are there different sets of rules? That doesn't counter anything.

I'll mention this year in the NFL. It is a bit different but they played the regular season and then the playoffs under different overtime rules.

Yes it does. If they played every team all the time they would have the same rules. Since it is such a small sample, they dont change it.
