After getting a pitch at the nose, I had a feeling that might happen.

And Hanigan draws a walk.

I'm wondering the same thing. But it was good to see him sprint on in. Hopefully the Cubbies didn't take exception to it...

I played one game of fifa when it was 4-0...come back, and it's 7-4 and I'm watching Gomes spring around the bases lol

By doing what is right, watching where he is going, not tripping over first base watching the ball, hustling into 2B. It just barely got over.

So Homer goes from being pinch hit for with no one on and the pinch hitter made an out with him trailing by four runs, to 7 batters later being up 3 and in line for a win!

No he didn't and no it didn't.

It was in the 5th row at least. And he watched it go out.

I think mhs95_06 may have put on the wrong bi-focals this evening. I would imagine Jonny got a little tired by the time he got to second, since he hasn't had to run the bases in about a month.

Dusty sure does love using long men in somewhat odd spots. This isn't that odd, but it's not who I expected to be up.

Who would you rather have out in the OF in a tight situation with a tough catch needing to be made. Alfonso Soriano or Lance Berkman?

Soriano. He will get lucky and make a few really nice plays a year with his speed.

Berkman would've caught that ball Soriano missed. The ball Phillips hit over his head yesterday was due to horrid positioning....may have been Berkman's doing but where Soriano was...Berkman would've caught it I bet.

Olney reported Pujols was the sole reason for himself being at 3rd.

On the error by Rolen.....he simply had zero time to set up and throw and he released the ball ASAP and it was right on line but took a wicked bounce as it was a little off the side of his hand....Hanigan likely couldn't see it. I don't consider that play rusty at all.
