Santana, Druby, and OC all said CC has 15 game winner written all over him if he can develop a consistent array of off speed stuff. He had a nice moving curve tonight and a good change up. You mix that with his fastball that tops out at anywhere from 95-97 and you have a lot of potential.
Definitely a good problem to have.

Thanks hoops.
White Sox came back and won 4-3, Tigers rained out, and the Twins are up 2-0 in the 5th.
5 game lead

Not really sure what to think of Carrasco at this point. I've always liked his stuff, and it was on display tonight. However, everything just seems like a big challenge with him. He's managed to get at least 5 innings in all of his starts but one, and that was the injury start in Minnesota. However, he's also only gotten to 7 innings once. Would like to see him have a 7 or 8 inning outing, with his walks and high pitch count the bullpen better be ready for all of his starts. Can't complain *too* much, just don't think he all the way there at this point, which would be fine if this were last season, but we're hopefully going to be in a pennant chase this whole season. So, we'll see I guess.

^To that point though, Carrasco is our #5... Our #5..
Alex White is right there as well, and to this point, as looked VERY good.

I actually did, last Friday. It is a cool shirt, but doesnt have the nice feel to it (like an homage). Im hoping a few washes break it in. Awesome shirt, because of the design and slogan...but the feel kinda sucks imo.

Hopefully it's not that cheap feel is it? I was thinking about getting one but think I'll go with the Windians shirt instead..
Hopefully those aren't the shirts that shrink like crazy after the first wash or 2.

Right and I guess that's kind of my point. If Carrasco is still just kind of motoring along with these 5 inning starts, he might find himself demoted once Talbot gets back. Obviously it's important to develop Carrasco as he has a better chance of being a front-end guy than Talbot, but we're going to need to do what's best to win NOW.hoops23;772510 wrote:^To that point though, Carrasco is our #5... Yeah. Carrasco just needs to continue to develop his breaking stuff. His curve ball had a sharp hook on it tonight, but there were stretches where he couldn't throw it for strikes.. If he gets that pitch consistently, he's going to be a very good pitcher.
He definitely has the tools needed to be a #2 or #3..
