Back breaker by Phillips....Cards defense not making any plays.

Whoever positioned Berkman that shallow just gave the Reds the win. His jump wasn't great but he should have been playing at least 10 feet further back.

If Phillips double wasn't the nail in the coffin...Bruce's double sure was.

Guess Heisey faced a pitcher his swing worked against.

Heisey probably has the best feeling ever when he constantly gets benched for someone else then hits a PH homerun.

Chapman in to pitch the 9th

Dusty does do a very good job at trying to keep struggling relievers out of high pressure situations in order to "fix" whatever is wrong. Fans won't mind Chapman giving up a few runs when they have a 10 run lead, as long as he finds whats wrong and can correct it. Dusty does a good job at that for sure.

I just don't get why he can't throw strikes.

Might sound ass backwards...but he might actually get out of his funk quicker in a pressure situation.

9-2 you are just thinking to throw strikes.....and this knocks the sail out of a huge 3 game sweep.

Sad to say, but this is probably the time to send Chapman back to AAA.

One thing I notice is that he falls off the mound way more than usual...not going towards home at all

It's in his head... It'll take something unconventional to get him out of it.

Yeah, it's about time Dusty.
Why wasn't Cordero out there to begin with?
Save situation or not, you put your best hand out there.

Did that hurt Pujols wrist more than it hurt the Reds psyche?
