He is one of the most respected guitar players in the world and has taught Steve Vai and Kirk Hammet of Metallica (among his many pupils).

Crushing Day, the song I posted, is one of the most difficult songs to play as a guitar player. It goes to show the greatness that is Satriani.

Funny you mention he plays the same 8 notes while sitting doesn then post a video of SRV (who is actually one of my personal favorite guitarists). SRV played the same notes in almost all of his solos. He could make them sound great, but his range was not even close to Joe Satriani's. I recommend you look up some more Satriani. The guy is a guitar virtuoso.
