This just came out yesterday....as a Darby alum, I can say this is absolute hilarious. When they protested at OSU, there were so many cops to make sure it didnt get out of hand.....

Now, a lot of kids who went to my high school are saying they want to "do something to show them up". Bullshit. These psychos wont get offended by anything people say to them.

I cant believe they chose Darby, but this is definitely the funniest thing to happen since I graduated in '08.

they seldom fuck up, because they entire family is balls deep in law and gods asshole. Unfortunately, i do think the only way that organization ceases to exist is if someone can get Shirley mad enough she starts attacking.

seriously though, as a Darby graduate, and with a gay sister who currently attends Darby, every part of me wants to do something. But, the best course of action would be to completely ignore it.

Yep. They know US law really well, so they know their boundaries.

The one thing I'd like to see would be to catch Fred commissioning anything that could be seen as terrorism or a hate crime. I'm betting that would be enough for conspiracy charges.

As the parent of three heterosexual Darby graduates, I am actually a bit proud to think that we've done something here in Hilliard to incur the wrath of these nut jobs. Wonder which one of the local conservative churches we pissed off to earn this honor?

Self-idolizing whack jobs like this give Christianity a bad name, just as a handful of Islamic extremists have half of the American South believing that every Muslim in the country is just awaiting orders from Al-Quaida.

As a Christian and as a Baptist I can't stand these people. They are not a church. They are not Baptists. They are certainly not Christians. Everything that they teach and preach is a perverted distortion of the Bible and it sickens me to my very core. The message of Christianity is one of love and the message they are teaching is one of hate, pure and simple.

The one thing that the WBC does well is make sure that they are withing the confines of the law whenever they protest. As much as they seem to hate America, they make sure that what they are doing is technically legal so that can keep doing it, and while their protests often get heated, they rarely get violent.

I'm curious as to what exactly they are protesting about at Darby. On their website they give specific reasons why they are picketing at other locations, but the Darby the description is very general.

Picketing against them won't do any good, it is just playing into their hands. I'm hoping to get some people together and instead of picketing against WBC we would picket for the students, staff, faculty, and families of HDHS. We would be sure to share the truth that God loves them and that he wants to forgive them, and that the message of hate and damnation WBC is spewing is lies. I think this is the most effective way to deal with them.
