What I object to is the 24/7 coverage that ESPN is doing, something which is unprecedented in their history. It's on all of the scrolls during their programming, they have the polls I mentioned and all of their analysts have made reference to it over these past weeks. Maybe it's an overreaction to show that they aren't biased because Herbie works for them, I don't know. It just seems that ESPN has a raging hard-on for Tressel and Ohio State. You may notice that, with the exception of Mark May, their coverage of any of this leading up to the Sugar Bowl was minimal. You don't think it could have had anything to do with the fact they had the BCS package, do you?

Regardless, Tress and the university could leave them with little to report if they just do the right thing and cut the cord.

You know, risk/consequences wasn't really part of the thought process at that moment.

You know, in Driver's Ed most of us learn about speed limits. And there are signs all over the place. And you know a speeding ticket isn't cheap. But I doubt many people sit and make a conscious decision as to whether all of that is worth it when they determine to speed. You want to get where you're going faster, drive faster. In cases like this, you want a little extra spending cash, take what the dude is offering.

Do you objectively watch their games and see them cheap shotting constantly? Like I said, how many spring games this year have you seen a team flagged for late hits on their own players? OSU got it twice in 10 minutes of their spring game. One was a blindside shot to a QB in the back 2 seconds after he had thrown the ball. The defender took 4 steps after the ball was thrown to hit him.

OSU is as dirty as their coach.

But Jim Tressel knowingly puts his star quarterback and receiver on the field all year, lies to the NCAA and lies to his own school, then tries to cover up his lying with more lies, and the view from some of OSU’s fan base is, “Well, sure, but everyone cheats.” Or, “Well, sure, but he was looking out for the kids.” Or, “Well, sure, but no crime was committed.”
