In this Daiwa Fukishima-ed, fracked up world....there are some people who care.

Not me.

I'm sure some politicians are happy they can count on them for support.

As for trees they make good firewood. Great for building material. Nothing like the smell of some fresh sawdust. I also use them to decorate my property, provide shade, and wind breaks. I have quite a variety on my property. Austrian pines, Colorado spruce, Birch, Locust, Oak, Silver/Crimson Maple,Plum, and I also go a couple (not sure what they are) that have fern like leaves and orange bark that looks kind of like it is peeling. In the fall the fern like leaves turn a rust like color.

This is irrelevant but these people (assuming it's real) are insane.

However, I hate how many use these type of crazies to justify an attitude that we don't have to protect the environment.

I like trees, they produce some of my favorite foods, make fires possible, my house is made of them, etc.

I have seen NOBODY on here who has blasted environazis or dispute global warming urge people to pollute and destroy the planet.

Stop smearing with a broad brush.

Those of us who think global warming is a sham and can't stand how the folks at Green Peace or some similar eco-terrorist organization act happen to FAVOR reasonable laws and regulations that protect the environment for future generations. We just don't think trees or animals are more important than people (i.e. if experimenting on some animals will help find a cure for awful diseases like cancer, then do it).

Where did I say on here? I''d like to see that. And where did I mention anything about global warming?

Has nothing to do with trees.

Well, since you're making the comment about people and NOT specifying which ones -- it can be reasonably assumed you're talking about the people who are most likely to read what you wrote.

I included global warming because there are a significant number of liberals out there (some on here) who tie being against global warming as akin to being in favor of pollution (they see co2 as a pollutant, I guess).

Which is why I said environment and not global warming.

And no it shouldn't be assumed. I also didn't say that there was anyone encouraging people to pollute. It's just that I know many people who use crazy folks like this as an excuse to dismiss any person who talks about environmental responsibility, etc as a crazy person.

It'd be the same as if I used some crazy redneck burning tires as an excuse to lable anyone who doesn't agree with global warming theories (of which I'm still unsure of what I believe but I'm simply using this as an example) as some uneducated backwoods yahoo. That would be stupid which is why I don't do that.

As for the CO2 thing, it isn't a pollutant in the sense of the word that we all use. But there is a lot of evidence that shows heightened CO2 levels during warming periods. Correlation doesn't equal causation but to pretend people are insane for looking at it at all I think is a bit harsh.

It has to do with putting a greater value on the life of a tree than that of a human fetus. Whether it is animal or any other thing in nature. At least be consistent. These type of people disgust me.

Yeah but the direct comparison would be a video of a person crying over a seed that was killed not a tree.

Really? Which is of greater value. A full grown tree or a human fetus?

SOME people are quick to point out the 'crazies' and the bigots in the Tea Party and think that is more than fair to paint the party with that broad brush. The MSM is quick to point them out on national TV. They are not so quick to show this kind of stuff.

You really don't get anything do you?

Fetus = not born yet. Seed = not sprouted yet.

All I was saying is that it an example of them being inconsistent in regards to abortion would be them crying over "killed" seeds and it was meant to be more joking than not. But you can continue twisting your panties if you'd like.

I get what you are trying to say. You never answered my question. I guarantee you these type of people care more for "seeds" than they do a human fetus. By the way since you want to take this route, a seed would not equate to a growing life form. It would be akin to human sperm. You better believe these tree loving nutbags would ball like babies if I dug into the ground and ripped out a germinating seed.

Why are you twisting your panties over this? These type of people are nutbag hypocrites.

Because I'm sick. :)

And there probably are people who get more upset over old growth trees and such getting killed than over an equally random abortion. So you're correct in that regard. Of course they're crazy people who we should pay no attention to and not get upset about so...
