Why swing at a 2-0 pitch?

Pitch to Choo was a ball, but too close to take. He fucked up by swinging at the pitch before that. It was high.

Only takes one shitty call by the plate ump to change the whole game around. Rick Manning is blind....that ball was 4 inches off the plate.

I say move Brantley to leadoff, Grady to 3rd in the lineup and then Choo down to 7...until he starts producing consistently!
I can't take Choo right now, he is really pissing me off.

Yeah and he also thought the pitch before it was a strike. Which it could have been, but it would have been another bad call.

Well...I want my cleanup hitter to be a run producer and have a green light to swing at a grooved 2-0 fastball. If this is Game 7 of the World Series, the take is on. On April 18th, I like letting the young guy swing and try to hit a ball hard and get some confidence.

Or, let the nerves get to the pitcher, and let him try to even get the ball in the strike zone.

He struck out the previous guy looking. It wasn't like he was the guy who walked the bases loaded. That pitch was a meatball.

Pet peeve. Pinch running for your hottest hitter. This game goes extras and Buck comes up for Pronk's spot. Arrgh.

Agreed. I never pinch run for the guy on first. Maybe, when he gets to second sure. But on first, no.

Should get a fastball here, and hes a fastball hitter.
