I'd love to take 2 of 3.
Jeanmar Gomez will pitch on Tuesday, he has been solid for AAA this season.

Speaking of AAA....and I realize we wont see these guys this year. But what are the time tables for our recent picks, Alex White, Pomeranz, etc.??

i just love that i'm so into april baseball. usually with the cavs in the playoffs and the indians starting out slowly, i probably wouldn't truly invested in the tribe until about june or so

it feels good to have a winning team back in cleveland. hopefully they keep it rolling. the next two weeks are huge with a 4 game set with the royals and 3 game set with the twins, then back home for a 3 game set with the royals and then 4 games with the tigers. im looking forward to first pitch tomorrow. our offense is clicking and our pitching staff is lights out.

Alex White we will probably see later this season. As for Pomeranz well he just had his 2nd/3rd start in A ball so it'll probably be a little bit longer for him. Maybe next year.Laley23;743318 wrote:Speaking of AAA....and I realize we wont see these guys this year. But what are the time tables for our recent picks, Alex White, Pomeranz, etc.??

Pomeranz in 2 starts...11 inn 0.00 ERA 2 hits 17 SO 2 BB (Kinston)
White in 2 starts...11 inn 1.64 ERA 9 Hits 13 SO 3 BB (Columbus)
I don't think Pomeranz will be in Kinston very much longer.

That's pretty sick even if it is single A ball.

Pomeranz has a fastball that hits 95 consistantly and an above average curveball. They are working on his changeup. They want him to be able to throw all pitches in any count. It comes down to command. When he gets that, look out!

Everything I have read and heard is Pomeranz is the real deal. Has Elite Ace type stuff. I have yet to see anything but highlights though, so Im hoping he moves up to AAA soon.

This is the key right here!! We have to win 2/3 games or 3/4 games in each series to really seperate us in the AL Central.shook_17;743426 wrote:it feels good to have a winning team back in cleveland. hopefully they keep it rolling. the next two weeks are huge with a 4 game set with the royals and 3 game set with the twins, then back home for a 3 game set with the royals and then 4 games with the tigers. im looking forward to first pitch tomorrow. our offense is clicking and our pitching staff is lights out.
I just hope we can get some more support for these guys.....10,000-15,000 fans at a home game won't cut it.
It's so nice to be happy in April....haha we actually have a reason to be excited and jump on the bandwagon.
GO TRIBE!!

And by that time they are below .500. I agree though, I haven't been this excited this early, or in general, since the 07 season.

Looks like Travis Buck will get sent down to AAA.

A great early season series. Two teams that came out of no where to sit at the top of the AL Central standings. These teams will be contending for my fandom over the next few days. The winner will win my loyalty until they get passed by someone else! Go team!

Pitching Matchups:
Monday: Carrasco v Davies
Tuesday: Gomez v Chen
Wednesday: Masterson v Hochevar
Thursday: Tomlin v O'Sullivan
Too bad Talbot got hurt, 2 ER in 12 1/3 innings was a promising start for him. Hopefully Gomez can slide right in and pickup where all the starters have been all season.

The series to decide who will drop to the basement sooner, probably prolong the agony and split the 4 games.

I dont like Brantley at 7 and Sizemore leading off. I'd switch the two.
