Ehh, not a big fan. It was an ok song, but she's a lot better songwriter than New Strings shows off. Despite how popular several of her songs have been, including Gunpowder n Lead, I think when people look back on her career, More like Her is going to be the song she's remembered for. She doesn't win any of the awards she won for that album without that song on there IMO. While we're on female singers, "Stay" by Sugarland is by far one of the top 10 songs of the last decade. IMO one of the top 5 songs from any female country artist in the last 15 years, Shania's pop-y ass included.

Speaking of Outlaw country... I saw Billy Joe Shaver was found innocent in a Texas bar shooting recently. Great singer/songwriter and I sure miss the guitar playing of his son Eddy who died way too early!

Willie Nelson and William Duvall were in the court room supporting their friend.

Two new songs that will be hits very soon that IMO will be on this list when we look back a few years from now...."Outlaws like Me" by Justin Moore. It will be the title track to his new CD coming out in few months. Saw him perform this last summer @ the Hartford fair and it's a GREAT song. And "Country Boy" by Aaron Lewis...as in the Aaron Lewis that is the lead singer of Staind. He just released his debut solo country album. If you haven't heard it yet, check it out on youtube. Song features George Jones and Charlie Daniels on the fiddle.
I am torn on aaron lewis. I think if Staind had never existed I would enjoy his stuff more

If we are talking the last decade the hands down favorite has to be "Where were you" by Alan Jackson. To this day when I hear that song it brings back all of the emotions I felt on Sept 11, 2001. Hard to believe that was almost ten years ago.

A friend sent me a song. It was just ok, IMO. It was more just acoustic than country. Like if Jon Bon Jovi did an acoustic set.

LOL... Indeed I messed that up. I was watching TV while typing and mixed two stories :) Thanks for the correction. Yes it was Robert Duvall. Even though I called the cops (drama queen) on the alleged ganja (it was dark, no trash cans around and all I could see were ez-wider's in the bag over the "stuff" )... I do love my outlaw country lol.

The sound quality is pretty bad on this video but it's manageable. Why couldn't radio country evolved into stuff that sounds like this instead of the crap that's on there now?
