MSU and Indiana might be down, but Illinois is still a decent team. When they're not fighting amongst each other, they can give teams trouble. And going to Illinois is never easy.
Purdue and Wisconsin are both damn good teams. They're both legit top 12 teams, along with OSU. Playing at any 3 of those venues is almost a given loss. Michigan has been one of the most improved teams this year and had a very impressive win vs UT. To say the Big Ten is a shell of itself is absurd. Just because MSU isn't making their usual deep run in the NCAA's this year doesn't discredit the entire conference.
