The two worst fouls in NCAA history within .5 seconds of each other. Epic fails on both teams, Butler just got lucky they failed first.

Pitt makes that FT its ballgame though, a Pitt choke all around.

Bush league ending IMO. If I'm a fan of either team I would want the refs head on a platter, you don't call that shit at the end of game, either foul!

Butler looked like it was going to get hosed. Yes the Butler guy commited the foul but the guy was not in a shooting motion. Should not have been a shooting foul. At least that's the way it looked to me. Then for the Pitt guy to foul was an even more stupid move then the Butler guy commiting a foul.

Or you don't foul. I've never understood the thinking that a foul should't be called because it's the end of the game.

Upton further review, Gordon Hayward should have received Free Throw's on the final play of the Championship. Three seconds in...

Both were double bonus. 2 shots not 3.

Wasn't Pitt in the bonus at that point? If so, he's shooting regardless.

Agreed. If it's a violation in the 1st minute, it's a violation in the last. The rules don't change based on how important the play is.

This. Both were fouls. Play smart and they can't call it.

I've seen several close endings and their were some absolute muggings that weren't called, the refs swallowed the whistles.

Unlike Big East officials, these guys actually stick around to call the final 1.2 sec of basketball games.

Loved this line about a month ago ago about a Mock version of the field...

What hurts is that was an entertaining game and pretty well played up to that point. But we all know what it will be remembered for.

Look, I agree that they were both fouls BUT.....the refs usually let that stuff go late in ANY game!

a bush league ending would have been if neither was called. both were clear (moronic) fouls and were called accordingly

But at what point do you stop calling a clear block and a clear reach in? Under 1 min? Under 30 sec? Clear pandoras box there.
