Congrats to Mooney on the DIII championship, and it looks like UHS is about to beat Coldwater. It's great to see two teams from Ytown win state.

I google the youngstown high schools and got the schools listed below if I missed any sorry.

It would appear that the power in Youngstown is with two schools for the most part.

Cardinal Mooney High School

Ursuline High School

Liberty High School

Boardman Senior High School

Chaney High School

Fitch High School

Youngstown Christian

East High School?

East and Chaney are the only two publics

Mooney, Ursuline and Y. Christian are privates

The others are not considered "Youngstown schools" they only have a zip code that is a Ytown mailing address.

The only drawback is that they now have to get on the bus and drive back to Y-Town. :)

If I lived in Youngstown, I would try my best to stay away from that city as much as possible also!
I guess those Ytown boys are smart thinkers also!;)

Tryin' to rid anything of the recruiting word. Don't need to get that started on this one too. Do you enjoy reading that garbage or something?

Sarcasm isn't allowed? Oooooook. Did you really think I was accusing my own school of recruiting?

Crime wise no!
But bigger population, so that makes it worse! :D
Why do you think we do so well every year!
NOBODY wants to go back to the Ville!
There is no yellow bricks in Steubenville!
Just white bricks, and most people don't have the $$$$ to pay for them!

I always get a kick out of this sort of information.....Fitch is in Austintown, thus Austintown Fitch High School. Boardman High School is in Boardman, Liberty isn't even in the same county as Youngstown. BTW, Warren Howland isn't in Warren, it's in Howland...as in Howland High School.:)

If you live in a city that has marginal city schools and you are an athlete that is going to bust his balls all year to play on a sports team, wouldn't you want to play for a WINNER. I know I would. Mooney and Ursuline are WINNERS. Congrats to both.

BTW...you also get a great education at those two schools. Sounds good to me.

I agree. One step further, If you are a parent fortunate enough to have a nice athlete as a son. Wouldnt you want him playing at a school that will maximize his potential and possibly even getting him a free college education?

OMG!
I agree with a Dover fan?
What is the world coming to!
Well I gotta get to this Pitt vs UC game, hopefully Pike gets injured and Zach gets to show his ass one more time!
It's already snowing here in Pittsburgh, Zach gives the best opportunity to win this game!
Go BEARCATS!
