This may be a bit homerish but I really see Eastwood contending this year in Region 14. According to Eastwood's normal standards they had a "down year" last year going 6-4 but the four games they lost were to Clyde, Oak Harbor, Genoa, and Patrick Henry. They return 14 starters including a lot of kids who saw a lot of playing time as sophmores and juniors. It'll be interesting to see them open up week 1 with PH this year.

Kenton is going to be tough to deal with no matter what. Eastwood plays a brutal schedule and I agree with birddog's statements.

It could play out where Oak Harbor beats Genoa twice in a year. We shall see. Regardless, this should be a fun year in R14.

I was only taking a shot at tinkertrain, because it's so fun. But the shot may be all for naught because I'm not so sure his focus will be more on R14, or R10.

What "Interregion" games are there during the regular season?

Couple of the top of my head would be Eastwood/Genoa, Genoa/OH, Eastwood/OH

The top three in this region will be Kenton, Hartley and Clear Fork

Hartley returns a lot of talent for the forseeable future. In the state championship game they had very impressive Sophomores and Freshmen playing.

Kenton: Mauk is always a threat. If they dont win it in 2011, their season will be considered a failure. After 2011, they take a huge step back.

Clear Fork: Tough, good group of players coming through their program for a long time.

Highland will be down quite a bit in 2011

North Union looks to take one of the top 8 spots. They play nobody and have a good group coming up.

How much does Genoa have back? I know they have lot a lot of quality seniors the past couple of seasons.

Oak Harbor and Huron both bring back quite a bit of talent, but too early for me to make a playoff prediction.
I will let the Genoa folks comment about their team, but I expect them to be very good once again.

BCS Champions are biased towards those that have tough schedules or come from big conferences. Genoa will be the TCU of the BCS. Or TCU was the Genoa last year, depends how you look at it. We would probably have our JV kicking 1st down field goals against those rag-tag Auburn Tigers, but we will never get the opportunity. Too much politics!

If you beat Oak Harbor twice that's fine by me. I don't like either Genoa or my alma matre so when week 2 rolls around i usually just hope some kind of blackhole develops and swallows both towns ;)

Happiest day of my life when I got the hell out of Oak Harbor. Ironically the day before I moved to PC is when PC finally beat Oak Harbor.

Genoa has Nutter back but loose the hole opening machine that was Seth Duffendock. Genoa made no attempt to hide what they were doing last year but when you had someone like Duffendock to lead the way you can get away with that.

Orrville moving to another region is what happened to this thread. It was hot because they were the only ones talking on it.

100% correct. Lots of hen parties & too much free time.
