Obviously I was wrong about USF. Good win for the Bearcats, I could see them taking down ND.

My Irish get Cincy tomorrow. A little nervous now about this game. It's been a tendency for the team who's played a game to come out a little bit stronger and the other team to come out a little flat. Gotta keep Yates out of the post early

The clock was STILL running. If I want to throw the ball up as high as I want with time still on the clock, I am 100% allowed.

It happened not that long ago where a player was going out of bounds and instead of throwing the ball back onto the court of play, he threw it straight up in the air to let the clock expire.

Yeah I get this. What we are saying is it SHOULD have been a tech and 2 shots if it was called correctly in the first place. If there was a whistle then they can issue the tech.

It should have been called a foul. I guarantee he doesn't throw the ball. So no T.

The key for UC against ND will be if the refs let the guys play. They called it tight in the first half tonight and Gates/Thomas both got in foul trouble. It's been that way all season, if they can stay on the court chances are they win. Usually they can't though, especially Thomas.

Should be a fun game, ND will probably pull it out with smarter play and better free throw shooting.

I always thought Gates would be more than what he has turned out to be. Not saying he is terrible or anything, but I thought he could turn into a big time player.

Yeah I agree with you in that case for sure. If they blew the whistle on his first step out though and he takes 2 steps and launches the ball they can call that. Either way what a fuck up.

Vaughn and Stephenson stunted his growth IMO. He had pretty darn good numbers as a freshman, just never improved. Next year he will be asked to really carry the load.

Well if it wasn't already official I think this makes it. Marquette beats WVU and the Big East will get 11 teams in.

If they would have blown the whistle I really don't think he would have thrown the ball up in the air.

In my opinion, Villanova should in no way, shape, or form get an invite. I remember when the last 10 games actually meant something in determining whether a team made the tournament or not.

They beat UCLA, Temple, and Maryland out of conference. They beat Cinci, Louisville, Syracuse, Marquette, and West Virginia in conference. That resume isn't going to get overlooked.

Even if the last 10 games are taken into account, its not like it will be the only factor considered. Nova has a better record in a tougher conference and more good wins than any team that will be on the bubble.

Is the Big East the only conference that holds their tournament at the home court of one of it's members?

No.

Some of the smaller conferences play the conf tournament on the home floor of the regular season winner.

As far as the "BCS" conferences, yes.

Also, BOTH the MWC and the WAC are playing their tournaments in Vegas. MWC at the Thomas & Mack Center and the WAC at Orleans Arena.

Isn't Carnaseca Arena their home gym? They played 9 games there(including Senior night) and 8 at MSG.

They're both listed on wiki. But it says this....
It is the exclusive home to the St. John's University Red Storm women's basketball team, and also hosts the men's team, mainly for games that are not expected to draw a crowd sufficient to fill Madison Square Garden. In practice, the men play virtually all their Big East home games at MSG and their non-conference home games here.

WCC played their tourney at T&M in Vegas, too.

It is just time for Notre Dame to decide to let the country know that they are just pulling our legs and they really aren't an elite team.

Don't get me wrong, I would like nothing more than to see Notre Dame beat Cincinnati, but I think the Irish are on schedule to get out-athleted<---great verb.

2 things.

He traveled before stepped out. And the T would not have been called as the head officials already said it.

I understand what they said. There were 2 missed calls at the end of the game. The travel call and the kid stepped out of bounds. Yet, If you call the travel, then it didnt matter he stepped out of bounds? So I dont see the (2) missed calls being those two.

And like was said before. If they call a foul, nothing else happens. No player is that dumb.
