One report is saying that WWE is preparing to release a statement later this afternoon which would tell you that he has passed.

There still hasn't been a statement from WWE or the family and that site has taken that article down.... There are reports that he is still alive but in very critical condition and a few former WWE Superstars are sending prayers through twitter

Sad News. Yet another professional wrestler does not make it into his 40's.

Umaga was the younger brother of Rikishi and The Tonga Kid. His uncle was Afa from the legendary tag team The Wild Samoans.

Becoming a pro-wrestler is an early death sentence. It's almost like their is a curse on wrestlers. Whether it be tragic, untimely death or other personal issues.

Or maybe it's God's way of punishing grown men for rubbing up against each other in skimpy tights.

I choose Option B.

Regardless of my lame jokes, if Umaga did die...may he rest in peace.

Sad. I always liked Umaga, it was incredible the way a man his size could move. Here's hoping he can fight through this...

In light of this, and out of respect (even though he will never see this nor do we know him)...I think the thread title should be revised back to the original.
Done.

Kinda, since I don't remember what the original title was.

WWE would have it if he was dead.

This isn't Michael Jackson, it's Umaga.

Yeah, but from the newsbit I've read, the "death" part might just be a formality. He supposedly is in intensive care and possibly brain dead.
