the problem is that there are multiple chemicals that can be placed in rolls that have similar effects that we collectively call Ecstasy. The most "popular" are MDMA and MDA. In a best case scenario, you get a mix of the two or one without a cutting agent. However, there are plenty of other chemicals that produce "similar" effects to MDMA and MDA, most recently it has been Mephedrone. Mephedrone mimics the effects of MDMA or MDA for about two hours.
point being, if you werent taking pure MDMA or MDA or a combo of the two, then you were not using Ecstasy, you are now dabbling in designer drugs. The stuff that was around in the 90's hasn't gone anywhere.
