Checking out slickdeals I found a great deal on a Clicgear 3.0 and I am thinking about biting. My club doesn't allow them (lame) but we are going to be canceling our membership after Labor Day and sticking to public courses anyway. Who uses them? Anyone use this particular model? I hate getting a cart (because I'm cheap and not lazy) but I hate lugging around my clubs because my swing starts to deteriorate after 10-12 holes.

I always use a Golf Cart. It's recreation to me not exercise. I prefer to have a DD when I'm riding in it too. Yea I suck at Golf that bad, even with a F'ed up shoulder...but I was bad before, now I just gave a good excuse.

...I've carried my bag for years so lugging my sticks is no big deal. I have a pull cart that I'll break out if it's really hot when playing 18, but other than that I carry.

My mom does have the remote controlled version, lol...it's pretty crazy. My stepdad has a normal push cart and he really likes it. He always has so much crap and it has a mesh thing to hold stuff, a cup holder, etc. so it works for him.

I would love to be good enough to be able to walk a course in a timely manner, but right now i'm not, so I cart it.

She has something similiar to this? This would be pretty cool to have..closest thing to a caddy. How does it handle going up and down hills?

She has this one...

From what I've seen it works very well. It's great on hills (our home course is pretty hilly), grass, cart paths, you name it. Not sure how long the battery lasts but she's never had a problem with it dying in the middle of a round or anything.

Push cart is the way to go.....I bought a cart bag which has the space to hold more gear for different types of weather and so forth and the push cart allows me to keep a good pace without my back complaining about 18 holes of golf! Plus, when going down a hill, you can just let go of a push cart and watch it coast by itself, something that a pull cart obviously can't do. Walking is much cheaper than riding and I enjoy the stroll without the stress of carrying clubs this way! Also, like someone mentioned earlier, it makes a big difference in the quality of my swing later in the round, as my body just isn't nearly as tired when I use the push cart.
