Someone needs to look into how the OHSAA handles ticket distribution. St Paul got awful tickets for presale. Parents and other loyal supporters bought tickets at first opportunity and got seats on the 20 yard line, way up in nosebleed territory. This is not right to say the least. We're talking about families, parents and grandparents of players and band members, students, booster club people etc.. are getting crapped on here. We were told the OHSAA is hoarding the good seats. Why and for who? Anyone?

I bought some at a local school yesterday, second row, 48 yard line.
Did I get some that were held back?

Is st. paul on the homeside?

If so, they're sharing seats with those who buy all-session tickets.

I'd think a block of seats in the middle would be reserved for the participating team, then the all-session tickets would be sold above and on either side of that block.

For the smaller divisions, there are usually enough empty seats that you could move to somewhere better.

It has been that way every year. It wont change anytime soon. It is much worse at state basketball games. The home schools always get seats in the ends. The ticket package buyers and the ohsaa sponsors get the good seats.

I have never even bothered to sit in my assigned seat, if someone shows up with a ticket I move.

I do the same thing. The only time it has really ever been an issue is certain years in D1.

Yeah it's not that way..I remember last year our crowd was split in two while the middle section was for ppl who had bought the packages I guess....

Its all about the $$$. The ppl in the middle have bought the entire package and most have paid for those seats well in advance of the Finals. Many of them simply renew every year. Their money is in first, so they get the choice seats. Fans of schools buy tickets late, usually after their teams make it. They get the best available at that time. I have NO problem with that.

I think it's stupid, but when your team's fans will never have to worry bout it , I wouldn't have a problem with it either....

If your seat is bad, and you see a better seat that is empty, is it really that hard to move? Most of the games have several empty seats (I know there are some exceptions with the big schools in certain years). I've never had a problem with moving to a better seat if I didn't like where my ticket put me.

22,000 seat stadium and an anounced crowd of 5700? Id think there were good seats available to move to.

That has to be wrong I mean we are talking the hot bed of football on Ohio and those fans in that part of the state loves to go to the state final games no matter which teams are playing.

Well that is what I keep hearing.

I just think it is stupid to have your fan base split in two.....

I'd rather have them all packed in the middle instead.

it's your game, not the ppl who buy packages...Let the fan base sit all as one.

You haven't had this experience so you wouldn't understand I guess, IDK.

There should not be any package sold that allows the teams playing in the game to have to be seated in different areas of the stadium.

They could all buy their tickets earlier instead of waiting until the last week. Why do you want to penalize someone who buys tickets early?

He's just trying to put in a dig at me, is no problem. I have been going to the Basketball Finals for 20 years and have already sent my money in for this year. I get the same seats every year and yes, they are close to midcourt. When Dover does get there, its a bonus sitting there. The other Dover fans are in the ends, its the way it works. Sorry!!

Why or how could they buy their tickets before the ppl that renew theirs every year, when their fans don't know if they'll be in the game til the week before???

Its not punishing ppl who buy early it's rewarding fans who' team is there by giving them the best experience possible....There are no bad seats on either side. I sat on the 30 and saw the game just fine. the CW ppl all sat packed in the middle together, like they obviously wanted to. Thats how it should be...

Lived in every part of the great State of Ohio..originally from SE Ohio..and I know you're trying to be sarcastic..but I will put NE Ohio head over heels about any other area of Ohio when it comes to fans and High School football.
