Going to the Yankees-Red Sox game this Sunday, should be even more interesting after the Red Sox recent collapse.

Ian Kennedy wrapped up another win yesterday for his Cy Young hopes.

He might be penalized, though, as this one was against the Pirates after July 31. Even if they're buyers and not sellers like this year, they still fall off the charts when August starts. Pitched eight innings of a two-hit shutout...and the second of those two hits came in the ninth off J.J. Putz.

His team being in the playoffs might have hurt him. I think if they are out, he gets the CG SHO. But because they need him, they wanted to save his arm with pitch count. Either way great start, on a night when Roy Halladay hurt his chances losing 4-3.

Kershaw goes tonight versus Lincecum. I think he would move to 4-0 versus Timmy if he wins tonight. I would weigh that pretty heavily if it is the case.

Yeah, even if this is Karstens' best year (by far) of his professional career, I don't Kennedy outdueling him has quite the same impact as Kershaw outdueling Lincecum would.

What's Kershaw's record? I know Kennedy got his 20th last night.

19-5.

BTW, he is 3-0 right now versus Lincecum this season. Though one of the games Lincecum didnt get the loss, but Kershaw did get the win.

man it sure is odd that two aces would match up so many times with each other. Must be just plain luck.

Phillies lose 3 straight at home for the first time all season.

Charlie did such a great job managing in the 10th.

Phillies are going to fuck around and let the Brewers catch them.

Bout time for the Braves to start giving away their lead and for St Louis to begin their rally.

Heyward makes two great running catches to open the inning.
