McCann follows with HR to right. Brett Myers has thrown 98% curveballs today, can't believe his elbow can take much more.

Red Sox finish their sweep of Toronto, outscoring the Blue Jays 35-6 in the three games. Day off before a big series in Tampa.

I stopped watching after he hit an oppo bomb. Braves got first two batters of game on and didn't score. They only have 3 people in the lineup capable of getting a hit, and Lowe's sinker wasn't good.

Braves waste a HR from the MVP candidate and fall to Jon Niese and the Mets. Atlanta rolled out a lineup made up of mostly AA players, with a couple big leagues sprinkled in. 3 out of 8 opening day starters were in the line up today. Not good.

At this point its a lock, but if he tears an oblique or something and misses extended time, the door would be cracked for others. I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch.

Halladay.

I did say prior to the season that Cole going against the 4th starters would allow him to pitch without pressure and the Phils would rack up wins for him. So far, that seems to be the case.

Throw Jurrjens in the discussion as well. 8-3 with a 2.13 after his first bad outing of the year tonight.

How does it matter what pitcher you are in the rotation? It's not like every team has the same off days and throws each pitcher every 5th day. I highly doubt by the end of the year Hamels faces that many more 4s and 5s than he does 1s and 2s.

I dunno, for the most part 1s usually match up with 1s, its just the way it works out. 5th starters will often get skipped in the rotation if there is an offday that would normally push everyone back a day. They try to keep the top guys on the same amount of rest.

lol, yes he will. It almost always ends up that way. You do have close to the same off days as other teams.
