Phillies lose 6-5 in 10. Lidge hit Gomes with the basesloaded to walk in the winning run. Lead down to 6 1/2. Halladay was pulled after the 5th inning after the rain delay.

The bullpen needs to figure things out before this turns turns into a shitty September.

Peaking now will do no good. With a large lead and a virtual playoff lock now is a good time to show some flaws....Oswalt's start was a win and Halladay's a loss....call it even.

Yah Oswalt did get the win but Doc and Kendrick should have. Two 9th inning blown leads goes from a sweep and a 8 1/2 game lead to losing the series and the lead only at 6 1/2.

If you and every single player, coach, staff member of the Phillies were told before the season that you would have a 6 1/2 game lead and a bigger WC lead on Aug 21st....everyone would take it.

Bobby Valentine for about 10 consecutive minutes was ripping Starlin Castro about his mannerisms while on defense. They did catch him completely not looking during a pitch earlier in the game but they just kept drilling how he kept looking around and chomping the sunflower seeds....but every pitch they showed he was set on the pitch....not as early as everyone else....but he had it timed. I have never heard a player called out for that long during a game....beyond ridiculous.

Another outstanding catch by Marlon Byrd on a lune shot over his head and into the ivy.

Byrd and Jay have been GG worthy with their play tonight.

That has to be a record number of HR hit onto Waveland by a visiting player.

He is holding the record until Luis Valbuena gets regular time for the Tribe.
