Detroit traded Jurrgens and Miller. I know it wasnt both to Braves, as one was for Miggy. But it Mightve been same year.

Anyone recall a team trading their top 2 pitching prospects in the same deal?


Yankees deplete their farm system on a yearly basis.
As do most teams who are serious about trying to win a World Series

Right, but rider is trolling on Cleveland again. Just saying that I'd be very surprised if the Yankees hadn't traded their best two pitching prospects in addition to other top prospects before.

Well Kerry Wood just made the #1 play.

Holliday slid in a little dirty....Cubs did not retaliate but he has an 0-4 including 3 K and a behind the back DP by Kerry Wood.

I'm probably alone here. But nyjer Morgan is one of the most annoying players I've ever seen. He's so unprofessional. Always acting like he just won game 7 of the world series. He's gonna wind up getting hit in the head by someone. Again, might jus be me, but he just rubs me the wrong way.

Yes he is.....When I lived in DC and would go to the Nats games I always was hoping he would get drilled by the ball.

Damn Phillies had a chance to tie it in the 8th. Phillies had runners on 2nd and 3rd and Pence strikes out to end the inning...

Pence is 3-13 since the trade with 1 RBI.....he better get going or the cheers are going to turn to boos quickly.

Onto the 9th with the bottom of the order coming up.....atleast the Braves lost.

Phillies win 4-3! With the Braves losing in DC the lead is now 7. The Phillies are now 30 game above .500 and 1 win away from 70!
