I am sure Carl Crawford could care less he is considered one of the most overpaid players in baseball, but does anyone else think he has to be just numb right now watching Tampa head to the playoffs after all they lost and a 1-8 start. I would think he is sick to his stomach right now.

The only way to top it will have to include Craig Counsell....he has to be the 25th guy on the roster....has to

Those will probably be the times for all 5 games, since they will never remove NYY from a primetime slot.

Wish I could have been on here for it, but I had WatchESPN on instead. Easily the greatest night of baseball ever. 3 comebacks, 3 extra inning games, 2 walk-offs, AND both teams I wanted to make it won, while their opposites lost.

The Tampa Bay colors seem particularly appropriate.

Crazy night of baseball. Unfortunately the 4 teams I would most pull for in the playoffs (Tampa, Texas, Milwaukee, Arizona) are all playing each other in the 1st round.

This was the greatest night of baseball ever.

You know that even though the Yankees gave up a 7-0 8th inning lead that they had to be smiling a bit on the way to the locker room knowing they helped keep the Sox out of the playoffs. Had to feel good to help complete Boston's collapse as a bit of payback for their playoff collapse a few years ago.

The Yankees hadn't lost a game they were leading by 7 runs in the 8th inning since the early 50s.

Red Sox were 77-0 when leading after 8 innings this year.

If you don't know what the fuck you are talking about then don't post anything. Tigers won and are playing NY. Keep padding your post numbers with fictional statements.

So sweet! If you're a Boston fan you hate the Yanks 1000x's more after last night. They could've trotted Rivera out there to end it but instead throw everyone on the mound except the lunch lady from the school down the street from the stadium.

As I mentioned earlier, would rather see two red hot teams (Cards/Rays) make it over two fading teams (Sox/Braves) any day.

Gotta give the Astros, Orioles, Phillies, and Yankees some credit. They just didn't lay down in meaningless games for themselves. They played to win, which is how it should be. Maybe next year the Phililes will need the Cards to win game #162 to help their playoffs chances. You can bet Tony Larussa will remember the Phillies effort.
