Campbell couldn't afford to fall too far behind because they didn't have the ability to overcome a large deficit. I thought Ursuline played very aggressive from the opening tip, did an excellent job rebounding and defending Lebron and Underwood. Lebron didn't score until the 3 or 4 minute mark in the 4th qtr, did Underwood have any points? How this Ursuline team lost to East is beyond me. They've got size, quickness, and a legitimate outside threat in Strollo, it's going to be interesting to see how far they go.
Campbell, you guys went farther than most of us thought. With Letlow and Johnson coming back, thats some nice size underneath, however, Coach D is going to have to find a new backcourt.
Ursuline played an excellent game. The Irish completely shut down Campbell's guards, which are the key to their offense. The difference in this Campbell team was that it did not have the high scoring players that could bring them back from being down by double-digits. Ursuline turned it up from the get go and never looked back. Nevertheless this Campbell team got deep into the tournament and were just one step away from another trip to the regionals. Thanks to our seniors for another good season.
This was one of Coach Danilov's best efforts as head coach at Campbell. The team faced alot of adversity throughout the season. And he got the kids to believe in themselves. Ursuline now faces a tough team in Orrville. Good Luck to the Irish.
