Considering Sullinger had by far his worst game, MSU shoots nearly 60% from the field and OSU wins by 10 pts...this was a very good game. Good balance for OSU and Buford did play very well. But Craft was the difference maker defensively. Especially late in the game.

Craft gives OSU that edge of toughness they need. Your right, he gives 100% effort, 100% of the time. Sad as it may be, that is unusual. He gets the crowd into as they appreciate his hustle. That ball he chased down and scored on late in the game was a great play. He really surprised me with his acceleration to get that ball. And although Lucas played a pretty good game, he had to work for everything he got. It didn't come easy. MSU executes the pick and roll as well as anybody and Lucas is pretty damn good with the ball in his hands. Craft did a pretty solid job overall on him.

What I love most about Craft is his defense off the ball. The opposing PG has to work incredibly hard just to get the ball in his hands, which causes frustration and fatigue.

Being outrebounded by MSU is no big deal. They box out as well as anyone in the country(when they are giving the effort), and they have some big bodies.

Yeah. I'm very happy about the turnover differential and it's okay getting outrebounded by Sparty.

Don't disagree. And considering Sullinger only had 2rbs..that final stat wasn't all too surprising. They really concentrated on keep him off the boards.

Another good thing to see, and something MSU lives off of...was that OSU only gave up 2 three pointers the entire game and MSU only got off 5. Considering what happened vs Wisky, that was good to see.

Also, there weren't a whole lot of shots to be rebounded by OSU. Sparty shot 57% from the field, compared to OSU's 42%.

Buckeyes took Michigan State's best shot, and beat them. Purdue is going to be a war.

I hope they get one of the play in games.

Did Derrell Summers graduate or something? My goodness he was invisible.

His 2 buddies were sent off to Izzo's gulag.

Today I tried to find a Mock Draft that had Buford in the 1st round. None that I could find even had him in the 2nd round.

Today I checked a lot of Mock Drafts looking for where they had Buford. He wasn't in the 1st round of any of them. AND he wasn't even in the 2nd round in any of them.

I think he has an NBA game, but I don't think he is quite there yet.

His second half, the last few games particularly make me think otherwise. If he has a good B1G and NCAA he'll definitely rise on the board. I think he's already opened some eyes. Willing to bet those mocks haven't been updated.

I do agree with this.

Still a long way to go this year.

He needs to put on about 10-15 lbs of muscle to be really ready for the NBA, but his game is ready to go right now. He won't be back.

Has he put on any weight since he's been in Columbus? I'm honestly too lazy right now to look it up lol

This. he needs to get stronger upper body. Could he go and maybe get drafted? Absolutely. But he would be taking a chance. By most mocks, he is a late 2nd round pick. Thats taking a chance. IF he stays, works on his game and gets in the weight room...he has the ability to get into the 1st round after his senior year. I don't recall all the NBA things money wise..but there is quite a bit of difference between 1st, 2nd and free agent in terms of money and contracts.
On top of that, we are possibly looking at a NBA lockout as well.
I think he has put on a little bit of weight/muscle...but not much.

According to his uncle here in Toledo, unless Buford is assured of being taken in the first round, he has no intention of declaring for the NBA draft--he's intent on getting his degree, he really wants that brass ring, and he really enjoys being a student at OSU...just repeating what Uncle Tim told me.

I found him at 22nd on the nbadraft.net '12 mock draft. 2nd senior taken. Draftexpress has him going 2nd round, 12th pick(34th overall) in the 2012 draft and 8th senior taken.

(I believe we shared which sites we go to most, forget what you had said though).
