Buckeyes playing their first game after a loss while Mich St comes off one of their better performances in several weeks. I say OSU by 10-15 if a good MSU team shows up.

This will either be a blow out OSU win or a close MSU win, IMO..

OSU sounds pissed about losing, MSU is fighting for their postseason lives... Should be a great game.n hopefully the bucks keep winning so they can get that #1 overall seed and play in Cleveland.

Yah I posted that on the other forum. Sully tweeted it yesterday after the game.

I think a lot of voters will, not that it matters one way or the other.

Make no mistake, this game will not be easy. I think OSU wins, but it will be under a 10pt game IMO. MSU is fighting for their lives right now. An Izzo coached team won't go down easy.

As you said, it really doesn't matter. But OSU "should" remain #1 IMO. Yes, they just lost. But the loss was away, and @ probably one of if not the toughest place to play in the country. At worst, they drop to #2 behind Kansas.

I agree 100%.

And as far as OSU staying at #1, it won't happen. If UConn women can win 54268420 games in a row and then lose a tight one and drop, OSU will drop. Lol

The Seth dude on CBS said he's voting UT #1 on his ballot. I would certainly have no issue with OSU staying #1...although it (#1 team losing and staying #1) rarely happens so I think KU goes to 1.

I think they even beat Baylor (current #1 team).

The reason they won't stay #1 is because most of the voters don't look at the poll the way it should be looked at.

It isn't a poll of the top 25 teams that week, it's a season long poll and it should be looked at that way each week.

OSU is the top team in the country, even with the loss, and should be atop the polls.

Both KU and OSU have 1 loss, both losses were against top 10 teams (assuming Sconsin moves there in the polls this week). Neither teams have many great OOC wins, and both conferences are about even.

You can't say at this point in the season who is the top team in the country. It's 1a 1b in my opinion.

Agreed. Only argument osu could make, I guess, is they lost on the road. But what does #1 reallyyyy gain you?!?

^^Absolutely nothing.

Though doesn't the #1 overall seed in the tourney get an easier path to the final four?

They say it does, but it isn't always true.

Yes the overall #1 gets the easiest route to the final four. They also get to stay close to home.

They get the lowest #2 seed and so on. The top rated 2 seed goes to the 4th rated 1 seed.

With you being a Kansas fan after last years region I'd say it's safe to say the overall #1 definitely does not always have the easiest path.

The only teams they actually seed are the 1's. After that it's all about geography.

Look at last year's bracket....

Number 1 overall was Kansas. And they had the toughest bracket to make it to Indy.

I didn't say they have the easiest path, I'm saying they get the 4th #2 seed and so on. TECHNICALLY they get the easiest path..obviously it doesn't always happen...fuckin northern iowa give me a damn break lol

They say you get the easest bracket. But it's all about match-ups in march.

Nobody gets an easy path to the Final Four - there's really no such thing anymore. However, It seems that Duke often times seems to miraculously find a "path of least resistance" in the big dance. IMO

Like I said before and was posted on another thread...

The number 1 seed doesn't NOT get the 4th 2 seed. The only seeds that they rank are the 1's. After that it's all about geography.

That was definitely true last year.
