OK, so Owen Wilson's new flick Hall pass is out. For those who don't know, the premise of the movie is the wife lets the unhappy husband have a "Hall Pass" for a week, meaning he is not bound by the rules of marriage and he can do as he pleases. Two questions:

1) Would you?
2) If your significant other gave you a hall pass, would you let them have one as well?

This movie looks hilarious. Probably Owen Wilson's best movie since Wedding Crashers.

I might do some things that my wife frowns upon, but I wouldn't cheat. And that movie looks awful.

No to both. If I wanted to be free of marriage, I would have never got married in the first place.

No and No. This seems like it would only invite bigger problems. Then again, some couples are Swingers? I think Swingers do that as a couple though? Hell, idk.

Glad to see Owen Wilson prospering though. He attempted suicide about 5 years ago didnt he?

If I got one, I'd give one.

You people are too uptight.

When the weeks up...fun was had by all and your wife is back in your arms.

...I agree with your snot

...now to the question, Yes for me and well...no for her. (hypocritical, but who says it has to be reciprocal)

No way. I can choose to do this now. I don't need someone's permission.

I choose not to. Nothing else can make me more happy than I am.

Agreed. There would be about a 0% chance of it ending well if you weren't already into this sort of a thing as a couple.

See this is lame. I have no problem with a couple choosing to do this (I wouldn't) but for one person to say they would but not let their S.O. is BS.

If it were Anniston, he probably would have actually went through with the suicide.

No, because

What's stopping her from getting pissed about it later. Does anyone remember a few months ago when I was talking about my wife, brother-in-law, and his fiance asking me to touch the fiance's boobs because she just had them done. I didn't walk into that and wouldn't this either.

1) I'm glad to see Owen Wilson is still alive, I like him, particularly in Wes Anderson films.
2) Despite 1, he looks like crap.
3) The film looks crappier.
4) If you want a hall pass, don't go to school. It is perfectly fine to be a free spirit and break into your school building, but if you aren't amenable to being a student and playing by the rules - don't expect sympathy or approval from fellow students that are.

Aside from the analogy there are real world consequences. We know of one (divorced) couple that a hall pass led to a certain h-word being transferred...unexpectedly of course.

I already said i wouldn't, but after reading this I am more certain. There's no way in hell she wouldn't bring this up a 1000 times in the future.
