TCU turns down a chance to play in Madison on opening week of college football in the 2011 season. TCU AD said he didn't like that it was just a 1 year deal.
I dont give a fuck if it's a 1, 2 or 3 year deal, TCU should have jumped at this I think. TCU will open with Baylor instead.

Why? TCU isn't a MAC school looking for a big payday. They have already shown they are a "big boy." The big boys schedule home and homes.

Make it happen, please. Now, had Ohio State -- whose president, E. Gordon Gee, famously had chided non-BCS conference teams such as TCU for playing schedules littered with the "Little Sisters of the Poor" -- been the Big Ten team seeking a late schedule change, Del Conte said he would have been all ears.
"Oh yeah," he said, "of course."

I don't blame them for wanting a home and home, but now they have to shut up about anywhere anytime.

If you're a "big boy" you pick up the phone and call the Bucks. Don't stand by the swingset whining like a little bitch when the Bucks are in the sandbox. Now, had Ohio State -- whose president, E. Isn't OSU's OOC schedule set for the foreseeable future?

Winning one BCS game makes you a big boy? Your right they are not a MAC school they are a MT West school. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah, so what? That doesn't stop TCU from making the offer. Just be careful what you ask for Del...

It doesn't matter what conference they are in. If you don't recognize that they are a legit college football program, you are only proving your ignorance. The real question is why doesn't Wisconsin want any part of a home and home?

ummm what? ytown said TCU should have called OSU to schedule a game for 2011. How would that have worked when OSU's schedule is already set?

The only thing I can come up with is they figured they lost to TCU on a neutral field so the chances of them beating the Horned Frogs at their place aren't any better.

Who says they won't? Will OSU be willing to play a home and home? Their "Big" OOC games are already set through like 2020 or so aren't they?

Jesus Christ. Would OSU go play at USC or at Miami or at Texas without a return date?

Does not matter. If Gordon Gees bow tied, geek ass comments got your panties in such a bunch that you feel the need to buy fucking billboard space in Columbus then you make the offer. Why not? If OSU says no they can just say "We offered and they just said no, they's a skeerd of us." But the real reason they won't is because OSU might just buy out whomever they'd replace and beat the little sisters of the poor right out of them.

He didn't say 2011, but considering the OP said they turned down a game for opening weekend of 2011, that could be implied. Why would TCU call OSU about a game for 2011 when their schedule is already set. I'm sorry you can't put 2 and 2 together.

Right. I'm sure TCU is skeerd of OSU. Also, TCU didn't buy the billboard space in Columbus. A TCU alum did. Small difference.
