I realize most of you do not care about this game too much, but it really is a crazy rivalry...and I just wanted to start a thread so I can post some pictures that I got off a KU board that I post on.

Looks like the one the students are holding up, minus the Championship trophy.

But I don't know what it is...

The fucking KING, John Brown.

He was an abolitionist from Kansas, was responsible for the Pottawattomie Massacre which many believe was the key ingredient to the Civil War.

I've spent hours reading about him, and I fucking hate history haha

How can you root for Missouri? They are scum of the earth

I wouldn't know for sure because I do not live in Lawrence, but I would say there is a lot more hate for Missouri than KSU

"They'll look for a score." -Brent Musburger on Mizzou's last possession.

No shit, John Nash. I thought they were looking to buy an ice cream.

^^Lol Brent Musberger is bruuuuutal to listen to for bball games. He's good in football because there are breaks between his high excitement calls...in basketball theres one on every possession and he only does the high excitement call every 3 or 4 times. So he'll just sit quiet on a 3 pointer, then on the next possession there willl be a layup and he'll be like "MORRIS WITH THE GREAT LAYUP!" you're just like whoa, chill out brent.

Yeah haha. I cannot stand Brent. I am so glad that ABC Sports no longer holds the annual second Duke-Carolina game each season, because Musburger used to call it every year. I can't even remember the last time he called a game of mine and I'm perfectly content with that.

He and Knight have done about 3 or 4 KU games this year, I think they do a lot of Big 12 games.

I was pretty pumped the first game they did cuz I like both of them..but by game 3 I was so annoyed with Musberger. And I like listening to Knight's contributions so it sucks because Musberger's annoyingness is starting to overshadow Knight's awesomeness.

Fuckin Brent Musberger man

Lol. I agree with you about Bobby Knight, though. You learn so much about the game every time you listen to the guy. Every sentence he says contains an interesting perspective about the game of basketball itself. That's rare with today's announcers.

Haha as I type, Brent just about went into cardiac arrest over a Tiger lay-up shot. What a jerk.

Yeah Bobby Knight is the man.

You watching this game rec? Misery is impressing me, I didn't think they'd do anything in the tourney but if they play like this they can go deep I think.

I loved Self's original reaction. And then when they came over and told him it was going to be a flagrant, he was like "oh ok"

Probably really lucky they didn't toss him for that. They certainly could have since it was obvious it was intentional.

Well, I was. But I'm not sure you would classify it as a game any longer. It's more like Pottawatommie now. Haha.

Missouri has the ingredients for a deep run, though, especially with the way the Tigers can absolutely wear teams down with Nolan Richardson's "40 Minutes of Hell." The key is where Missouri counts on its point production. They can obviously score in transition when their defense is at its best, but when the transition points aren't happening, the Tigers better hit some outside shots. They aren't doing a great job of that here in the second half.
