Ahhh, fancy!! Are you looking for actual recipes?

No matter how you make Chili, it's always best when made in a slow cooker!

Chili... best and easiest recepie I have found is here. Don't over cook the meat and put it all in the slow cooker for a few hours and it only gets better. Oh yeah and I would add more salt, or mix in some sausage with your beef for more excitement.

Barbecued Beef

2 lb pork roast
2 lb beef roast
2 cans tomato soup (2 cans water)
2 onions
1/2 cup worcestershire
juice 1 lemon

Cook on high for about 6-8 hours covered. Take a potato masher and mash to death, remove any bones. Leave cover off and cook down to desired consistency.

Easiest and best BBQ Beef recipe I've ever done and despite it's simple ingredients, it's fantastic. Works just as well in the oven too @ 300 degrees.

Shredded chickennnnn!

One large can of boned chicken.
One can cream of something soup (lol, not sure if it's celery, mushroom or what have you...I'll ask Elaine)
Croutons

Mix chicken and soup and then add crushed croutons to get the consistency you like. Heat. Eat.

I like Ham Hock and 15 bean soup too, but I just follow the directions on the bag. Dutch oven fun.

If you like cabbage, make some Hobo Stew:

1 head of cabbage, cut up bite size
3-4 potatoes, any kind, chopped bite size (if using baking potatoes, remove skin)
2 carrots, coined
2-3 stalks of celery, cut up
1 large onion, cut in quarters or smaller (smaller is better)
1 pod garlic, skinned & cut up
2 chicken bouillon cubes or 2 cans chicken or beef broth
Salt & pepper to taste

For the meet I either use Smoked Sausage or Chicken. I also add a can of corn and a can of green beans.

I use potato chips instead of the croutons and cream of chicken soup for the shredded chicken recipe. Great sandwiches.

Even though most slow cooker recipes say put the lid on a leave it on until done, with the shredded chicken sandwiches you want to stir it a lot to break up any pieces. You can also do the same thing with left over pork roast or beef roast - and you can do any of the three and stir in bbq sauce for sandwiches.

Buy big bags of frozen meatballs at GFS or Sam's, spray your cooker, pour some bbq sauce in the bottom to coat the dish. pour in meatballs and pour on more bbq sauce. They'll cook relatively quickly - add to buns wish some cheese and you have meat ball subs- great for Sunday evening football watching.

I do stuffed peppers in mine, no time to post recipe, will try to do that later.

I always do beef roasts in mine. I start them about 6:30 AM, let them cook until 5 or 6, when I get home from work. Spray the pan, add the roast. optional: onions and carrots. ALWAYS add beef paste - it's like boullion (which I can't spell) but is a paste, comes in a fat round jar at Sam's, GFS and probably regular grocery stores. I stir in a tablespoon or two. It really, really boosts the flavor. I also use chicken paste in shredded chicken sandwiches. They make a pork one too but I've never tried it. Back to the roast. cover it with water, set it on high and leave it alone until shortly before serving. Take it out, put on platter to rest. Use the broth to make gravy. I always salt the roast just before serving. The broth will make fabulous gravy and leftover broth can be used the next day for beef and noodles. If you have beef left, put some chunks in. THen if you did a really big roast and have more left, shred it and add bbq sauce and cook in in your cooker - sandwiches. 3 meals, one roast -and you could do beef vegetable soup with the left over broth and meat.

We do meatballs with regular spaghetti sauce in ours all the time. Either for sandwiches or for actual pasta.

I have heard you can make good cheesy potatoes in them but I've not tried it yet.

Chicken noodle soup:

1 large can of chicken broth
4 cups of water
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 teaspoon salt
1 small precooked whole chicken (the kind you can buy for $5 at the deli in your favorite grocery store)
4 large carrots coined
1 small sweet white onion diced fine
1 clove of fresh garlic chopped fine
4 stalks of celery hearts cubed
Some fresh parsley
Some freshly ground pepper to taste
1 bag of your favorite egg noodles

Pull apart the cooked chicken and break into small pieces. Add all ingredients to the slow cooker EXCEPT the noodles. Slow cook on high setting for several hours until carrots and celery are tender. Add noodles. Set temperature to low and cook for 1 hour.

Enjoy!

All the children in that family refer to the parents by their first names.
