Do any of you know of or have tried some of the websites out there to order beer? I'm in a pretty rural area and it's a good 45 miles + to get to the nearest stores that have decent Micro brew selections. Nobody near me has Founders or Stone or anything like that and honestly that SUCKS! :) I'm out of Founders Breakfast Stout and would like some more!!!! Some of the websites have killer selections but shipping is absurd.

If I'm not mistaken letspour.com is considered the best beer shipping website. Can't say I've used it though.

I was under the impression that alcohol couldn't be shipped to/from Ohio without being a distributor or seller.

Don't tell Pants that or I'll never get my DIPA from him.

You use UPS or FedEX (FedEX) and label them "live yeast samples" or some shit. Don't even have to label it if you don't want to. It's against their rules but as long as you pack well enough that it's not going to break/if it does it doesn't leak out you won't have a problem. And even if you do with FedEX or UPS they just tell you that you aren't allowed to do that instead of with the USPS where it's actually a crime and you will pay a fine. So basically wrap the bottle with a liberal amount of bubble wrap, then wrap that in a bag, pack that in a small box that is filled with paper or peanuts to immobilize it in the box and then wrap that in another bag. This should make it so that even if the bottle breaks leakage won't occur. Then you pack and immobilize the inner box as best you can.

By the way r/beertrade is pretty nifty.

^^^Look at the big brain on Brad...

And OTrap I drank both my Hopslams last night. I didn't remember until I went to grab one tonight because The Wife wanted the last one. We had to drink a Palate Wrecker instead. It is fresh and she wasn't disappointed...more importantly I'm not cut off.

Picked up a Southern Tier 2x IPA tonight from the little shitty store in my building. It's pretty solid. They also had Racer 5 which I've heard good things about.

I love their wheat. First had it in Kansas back in 2004. That was before I knew what Craft Beer was. I couldn't drink enough of it and it is something I look forward to when we visit The Wife's Dad.

I really should get to Indiana to grab some of the beers we can't get here. It is only about a 15-20 minutes drive.

Holy Moses from GL tonight. It's a decent brew, got it to go with the meal I made for my parents and because I've been drinking too much Oberon lately so needed another wheat beer outlet.

Had a Torpedo from Sierra Nevada tonight for the first time.

Very good and VERY balanced IPA. I could drink a whole lot of that.

It's been over a year since I had one. Last one was when I was in Kansas. I am going to Colorado at the end of the month. Looking forward to the beers I can get out there.

Had some Yuengling at the in-laws earlier; still don't understand the fascination with it. Now I'm kind of drunk off Hazed and Infused, and Shoals Pale Ale. Heading back to the store tomorrow, not sure what to get.

Yueng is better (relatively) than Bud/Miller at the same price point. I drink it when I'm drinking heavily, but its not great.
