The wife was nice enough to grab me a 6 pack of Smuttynose Finestkind IPA. Haven't had it in a while; not the prettiest looking beer minus the huge fluffy head (very hazy orange with a bunch of sediment floating around) but really good. Very strong taste of grapefruit and citrus. I actually have a good about of beer sitting in my fridge now; the Finestkind, Hoptimum, Lil Sumpin Sumpin, Huma Lupa Licious, Nugget Nectar, Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Old Rasputin, and Founders Breakfast Stout. It's good to not be in a rush to go to the beer store.

I wanna try this.

Tasting Notes: Deep red in color, this ale starts off with a floral, slightly citrus hop nose, hop flavor soon fades into the malty backbone of this red ale.

8 Ingredients: Carastan, Chocolate, Great Western 2-Row Malts; Amarillo, Perle & Cascade Hops; Rogue's Pacman Yeast & Free Range Coastal Water.

Was able to find Abita Strawberry Harvest today on my way home from work. Picked that up along with a Windmere Brothers Pitch Black IPA.

Saving the Abita for a nice warm day, but the Black IPA is tasting pretty good right now.

Having a Founders All Day IPA now. Not bad, but VERY grapefruit-y

Had Heavy Seas Siren Noire Imperial Chocolate Stout over the weekend. It was really good. Not a lot going on but it had a ton of chocolate flavor which was appreciated.

I've had it a while back. I can't recall exactly what it tasted like so it didn't really stand out. I bought it for the novelty of it. I'd get it again to see what I've forgotten about it.

It's a decent drink. I've enjoyed it a few times lately and mainly used it as a 'warm up' beer before going full bore into a Double IPA. This could be a very drinkable beer on a hot day meaning having a sixer plus at a time. Nice flavor for the low alcohol....will drink again.

Freakin Founders says it all.

This is kind of what I figured; good beer while hanging outside all day.

I just generally prefer a pale ale/IPA or pilsner over a big Imperial Stout on a 95 degree day. Not that I would turn down a good beer though.

Ditto. Even a wheat beer would work, but I've been known to throw down a Stout or Barley Wine on a summer night with a nice cigar or without a cigar.

Pretty good session ale. Had some during the first couple days of the NCAA tourney.

Put my bottle of Fantome Strange Ghost in the fridge but think I might save that for tomorrow. Picked up two bottles of Sculpin and two bottles of Brew Dog/Stone bashah. Getting kind of annoyed that I can only find bombers of Sculpin and no more 6 packs; the 6 packs were $16.99 but bombers are selling for $8.99. Wouldn't mind paying that if I didn't know I was being raped.

That sounds awesome, wish I could find that around here.

I feel you on the bombers/6 packs. I can pretty much only find bombers of a lot of the beers that I want to try. One nice exception is a 6 pack of Rogue Dead Guy Ale is $13.99 around here, but a growler is $11.

For those that haven't heard, Lagunitas is opening a Chicago brewery in the near future. Which means fresher Lagunitas in the Midwest. Which means awesome.

Drinking the bashah now; seems like the hops have faded quite a bit. Tastes more like an imperial stout than a black DIPA, but still pretty good.

Drinking my second Sculpin now and this beer is amazing. Close to if not the best IPA I've had and is quickly become one of my favorite beers.

I have yet to find Sculpin. I got some Big Eye the other day and looked around, but found no Sculpin. The Big Eye was nice.

I really like Raging Bitch IPA.

No beer yet tonight for me as I'm having a glass of wine. I'll get to some later. Which reminds me I need to put some in the fridge.

Surprised you dont have a separate fridge for that! I've been thinking about getting a smaller fridge just to house beer in. Maybe sometime this summer.
