I've heard that before! I've only had the pumpkin and peach ones, and they packed a punch as well.

GLBC Blackout Stout and Flying Dog Raging Bitch. Not a good pairing, but both beers taste good.

Had a Fat Head Holly Jolly Christmas Ale a couple nights ago.

More cinnamon and spices than I like, but it was still tasty. It's a respectable 6.5/10.

Finally had the Brown Shugga. Freaking nice beer with a good story behind it...if it's true.

I know I could google it but I'd rather hear the story from you. What is it?

Stories I've read are along the lines of...

...They were making an Olde Gnarleywine, but due to an inventory mistake didn't have enough white sugar. They sent a worker out to get more sugar, but the store would not sell them all the white sugar they needed, but could sell them brown sugar. The brewer said buy all the brown sugar and they used it instead.

^ Most evident spices I've ever tasted in a Christmas Ale. Like it a lot though.

Very average Christmas ale. Don't go out of my way to buy it, don't refuse it.

If you have roundball game near Toledo, head to Anderson's or Marino's in Sylvania.

Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball Ale - 4/5 ... Only thing I can hold against it is the thin mouthfeel. However, the color is gorgeous, and the taste is nice, too. Heavy bourbon. Light hops. Head dissipated relatively quickly.

3Floyds & New Belgium's Lips of Faith on deck.

I could have been more succinct on Untappd.
